Proposal to ask the Damansara Jaya Residents and Owners Association to support Bullseye. [mr thomas email]

Proposal to ask the Damansara Jaya Residents and Owners Association to support Bullseye.

Lau Wei Yiang
It is important that someone attends the DJROA (Damansara Jaya Residents and Owners Association) meeting on 27th April to mark 1 year since Bullseye's Founder's Run victory in 2024.

If someone can contact the President, Dr Ong See Lian, to ask for the support, it will be great.

I have already sent you the link of the revised video in the other email by replying your message. Hopefully your phone  can be up and running in order to get the Bullseye discussions rolling ahead.

Will do!
Lau Wei Yiang
The Damansara Jaya folks can support Bullseye, but they would be very happy if Nobel fixes the daily gridlock caused by the arrival and dismissal of students at the school. Dr Ong See Lian can be reached via djroapj@gmail.com. Only when the traffic problem is fixed can they support Bullseye.

For the Founder's Run, I will need to ask people for the virtual run information. I wonder who is leading.  I will ask for the information and let you know.

I am only concerned that a lot of people will not show up for the physical run. That would be disastrous. But we need to track the results of the Virtual Run first.

Virtual + Physical = Total Founder's  Run score.

I can understand that the Bullseye members might have difficulties navigating Sports Day. But this should be easy to tackle without any issue. The first thing they need to do is to RUN. There is no need to do any complicated dance or so on. Just RUN. It's easier than Sports Day but we shouldn't let our guard down!

This is the last chance to save Bullseye. I hope that the current members are awake. Please. We must win.
Thomas Koshy<thomaskoshy082@gmail.com>
I agree with you.
Lau Wei Yiang
As of now, I have asked two people on the Virtual run. No update at the moment.

Somebody must persuade Mr Chan Lik Hoong to run on the Founder's Run. I believe you will want to see him run, don't you think so? If he is a superstar athlete, he should prove it to the audience during the Founder's Run. I think everyone would be impressed.

I think I will need to make a trip to Taman Botani for the Founder's Run. The Bullseye members need serious motivation. However, I will not formally register for the run in order to focus on the 42.195km Standard Chartered Marathon this coming October.

If Bullseye wins, it can extend the already-long Founder's Run victory streak since 2018. Regardless of the result, we have seven wonders of the running world.
Lau Wei Yiang
The management have already tried to wreck the Founder's Run. They are about to succeed. We need to thwart their attempt.

While this is the first Founder's Run to not have the score included in the Sports Day, for a long time, the management have planned to separate both Sports Day and Founder's Run. Their main reason? PREVENT BULLSEYE FROM WINNING AGAIN.

According to the 20-year history of Nobel International School, the timeframe from the year 2012 onwards is considered important because that was the year the management gave names to the sports houses. Previously, the houses were called Red, Blue, Green and Yellow, but the Management decided that the house names be applied to the Elementary School in 2012 and the Junior and Senior School in 2013.

And from 2014, Bullseye kept on winning for 3 consecutive years. Upon the loss of Bullseye in the 2016 Nobel Cup and 2017 Sports Day, Bullseye started regaining ground. While the year 2018 did not result in a Bullseye victory, Bullseye managed to come close to winning also in 2018 because of the Founder's Run.

Since 2016, Founder's Run has been hosted by Nobel International School for charitable purposes. In every Sports Day since then, Founder's Run had contributed to the Sports Day and decided the winner of the Sports Day.  The table below shows the winners of the Sports Day and Founder's Run for the following years.

Out of the past nine editions of the Founder's Run, six of these editions have decided the eventual winner of the Sports Day (2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) Two of the remaining editions have partially influenced the progress of those years'  Sports Days. In 2018 and 2024, Bullseye's victory in the Founder's Run caused a big lead for the team in the Sports Day standings, eventually losing to Touchdown in the Sports Day. 2016 remains the sole year that Founder's Run did not affect the score in a dramatic way. While Founder's Run was intended to benefit charity, it has been weaponized by each house attempting to win the Sports Day. And it is Bullseye that had weaponized the race the most.

Given Bullseye's history of winning the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Sports Days, the 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2023 Nobel Cups, and all the Founder's Runs since 2018, the management is very afraid that if Bullseye continues to persist in the Founder's Run, it will continue to win almost every competition for the next 10 years, given how Bullseye has won so many times and every generation knows what to do. It had never been attempted before in any local or international school and it is very scary. So, the management had to put a stop to it after seeing what happened in the 2024 Sports Day.

The simple act of separating Sports Day and Founder's Run may at first be seen as curbing Bullseye's influence in the Sports Day. But it will also affect the Founder's Run too, killing two birds with one stone. This will affect both events' results.

The reason why people want to participate in the Founder's Run is so that they can have the opportunity to get extra points for Sports Day. People will be motivated to join the Founder's Run if they know that they can use the points from the Founder's Run to win Sports Day, as the Founder's Run's winner had always been the Sports Day's winner. The Founder's Run would be the opportunity to provide a stable foundation to allow Bullseye to win the Sports Day.

This can be evidently seen in the scores for 2024, when Bullseye was leading at the start of Sports Day itself before losing to Touchdown. Founder's Run had the biggest contributor of scores to the Sports Day results. Hence, because it gave an advantage to Bullseye, the management decided to scrap it.

By separating Founder's Run from Sports Day, it allowed Sports Day to have an equal opportunity for all houses to win. This was what happened with Nobel Cup being the first tournament of all tournaments. The management had analyzed the results. They did not want all houses to enter Sports Day unequally.

But however, it also presents equal opportunities for all houses to perform in the Founder's Run. Slamdunk is the biggest challenger for Bullseye in the Founder's Run. All that is needed for Bullseye to do is to TRAIN and WIN. The management knows that this will divide and conquer Bullseye and I am only afraid the current members are tricked by the management team into not caring about Founder's Run at all!
Lau Wei Yiang
We must remember today, 5th April 2025, as 12 years since the 2013 Sports Day. The Sports  Day that gave the determination for Bullseye members to rise to the challenge. We did not win this Sports Day, but it was a calm before the storm of consecutive Bullseye victories.

Good one!
Lau Wei Yiang
I have sent messages to some teachers and students to ask Mr Chan Lik Hoong to run Founder's Run. I will request them to inform Mr Chan when school reopens on Tuesday.

I will write a message and send it to one of the transporters in my area who fetch people to Nobel. Then she will ask the students to send the letter to Mr Chan.

Do you want Mr Chan to run? Please confirm so that I can send the message to Mr Chan.
Thomas Koshy<thomaskoshy082@gmail.com>
Yes, please go ahead.
Lau Wei Yiang
Here is the letter. The contents are as follows:

Chan Lik Hoong

Selangor Darul Ehsan

6th April 2025.

Dear Mr Chan,
Hope this message finds you well. This year is Nobel's tenth edition of the Founder's Run. We have come a long way since the first edition in 2016. We have touched tens of thousands of lives in Fungates Superflow Foundation. And we have made an impact on the lives of others.

The Founder's Run has inspired me to expand my passion into marathon running. But in order to make the Founder's Run a truly inspiring race, it  is requested of you to partake in the run  and lead the race by running the entire 5km course. This is a suggestion which I hope you can consider as it will show the students, especially the new ones what we are capable of.

Running in the run for the whole 5km would be an amazing endeavour, Mr Chan. It will showcase the grit and talent that anything is possible. I have enjoyed Founder's Run over the years and would like you to consider this proposal. I hopr that this feat would demonstrate your skills and also showcase that it is never too old to embrace talents.

I look forward to partaking the 2025 Founder's Run with you and celebrating 10 years of this amazing race. May God bless you and hopefully you may consider this suggestion.

Yours sincerely,
Lau Wei Yiang

This coming Saturday will be the Founder's Run.

What should I say if Mr Chan asks about my request to let him run? What if he doesn't want to run? What should we do?

He might raise health concerns.
Lau Wei Yiang
I have sent this to Mr Chan via a transporter who sends Nobel students who lives nearby.

Great!
Lau Wei Yiang

The progress of Bullseye has gone downhill since 2023. This is raising alarm bells among the community.

I am sure the  Bullseye members will be happy to have me  lead the Sports Day 2026 because we will be able to win.

As what Lord Sebastian Coe, the president of the World Athletics and the candidate for the presidency of the International Olympic Committee said, there is a need to have some innovation. An alumni post for House Captain of Bullseye can greatly help speed up the process for Bullseye.
Thomas Koshy<thomaskoshy082@gmail.com>
Agreed!
