Clarification on why I planned for Bullseye to win many victory years.

Clarification on why I planned for Bullseye to win many victory years.

Nobel International School begun its journey as Sekolah Sri Nobel in the year 2004, and the houses were called by colors. In 2012, Nobel became an international school and everyone was reshuffled into completely new houses, which were given names by Mr Paul, the head of CCA back then. This begun the rise of the four houses of Bullseye, Touchdown, Homerun and Slamdunk.

When Bullseye was founded, I pushed the case that Bullseye should win. We fought for months, winning the 2012 Elementary School Overall Score. Then, we wanted to win the 2013 Sports Day. When Nobel Cup was founded, we also wanted to win it but we lost.

Then, came 2014. We pushed the case forward and I spoke with all the seniors and Y11s. I built good rapport with them and then we won naturally, the Sports Day 2014. Then, came Nobel Cup 2014. And it was from September 2014 that we needed to make a firm decision.

In 2014, Caleb Chuang was the class monitor of my class, 8O. Because I made impressive courseworks like the large weather device for Geography, I wanted to tell Caleb Chuang in advance of another mega project which is a large billboard for the Maths and Science Week in November 2014. These discussions led to the forging of closer relations between me and Caleb Chuang.

Then, when Ms Visa, our History teacher was absent, Caleb Chuang and I did a lot of discussions during our relief period. We were discussing about Sports Day. And it was I who proposed that we win Nobel Cup. I told Caleb Chuang that I want Bullseye to be famous, and for that to happen, Bullseye must win. As Touchdown and Homerun won Sports Day and Nobel Cup in 2013, I propose Bullseye win both to show off our fame.

Many people were somewhat reluctant to win the Nobel Cup because they said Sports Day and Nobel Cup are different, but I said that we need to discuss how to win, how to confuse the opponent and how to unite the team. And I spoke to Wei Ming, the house captain for 2014/2015, who was willing to facilitate that. Many people not only said Sports Day and Nobel Cup are different because of our skills, but because of the fact that two different houses won the events. I asked them to reconsider their decision. I persuaded everyone to go to join events, sign up, and ensure key players were at the tournaments. I told Jordan Tay to attend the house meet. I told Ivyna Ong to sign up for the netball tournament even though she was reluctant. I told Eu Lynn to start practicing even though she gave me weird looks. They did so anyway, and we encouraged and motivated them, and Bullseye won. Caleb Chuang and I went to speak one on one with every single Bullseye member, literate or illiterate, dumb or clever, smart or lousy, just to get them to accept the proposals we had before proposing to Wei Ming. We made so many revisions and amenndments and pleased every single person and everyone accepted and followed our plans, causinng us to win Nobel Cup. We built good rapportship and won both Sports Day and Nobel Cup 2014.

Then, in 2015, Sports Day was arriving, and Caleb Chuang and I decided unanimously to extend the initiatives and plans from Nobel Cup 2014 to Sports Day 2015. I had to persuade Caleb Chuang to get the plans extennded to Sports Day 2015. He said yes, given the success of the strategy for Nobel Cup 2014.

When I met all the Bullseye members, everyone was unsure about whether we can win 2015, as they are used to Sports Day having different champion houses. Again, I had to convince them that if we can win both Sports Day and Nobel Cup in the same year, we can also win Sports Day 2015 since we are closer to it. Everyone agreed, and the first person other than Caleb Chuang to agree with it was Sean Mark, then Jason Leing. Jason told me it will give Sean Mark promotion, and Sean Mark was onboard the idea. In fact, when we were proposing for Bullseye to win Nobel Cup 2014, it was Sean Mark and Jason Leing suggesting for me to extend it all the way to 2016. I raised concerns about thinking too far. They told me to try and see how first, and that for Year 11 (2017) we will see to that because of IGCSE, but the best is to try and win every event possible. We did the same strategy for Sports Day 2015. Initially, everyone was quite puzzled over why we should win Sports Day 2015. Then, I told them to think, and everyone supported it. And Wei Ming was the one other than me and Caleb Chuang who put the case forward. Everyone agreed, and we won the 2015 Sports Day.

Then, following the success of Bullseye, everyone wanted to win Nobel Cup 2015 and Sports Day 2016, which ultimately happened. Bullseye had its ups and downs, but everyone was dedicated for the victory. The current students like Wong Pey Yi or Ong Zi Xin should be very overjoyed because we planned for them to have a great, bright, and wonderful future. We were fighting tooth and nail for their future, you know. Bullseye is a great house, and I believe that Caleb Chuang and I made the right decision to let Bullseye win so many years, and I thank all Bullseye members who had continued to show their wonderful support year after year.
