RAN TO NOBEL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IN DAMANSARA JAYA THIS EVENING AND BACK TO MY HOUSE IN PUCHONG, 42.195KM.
RAN TO NOBEL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IN DAMANSARA JAYA THIS EVENING (5/9/2025) AND BACK TO MY HOUSE IN PUCHONG, 42.195KM.
Today, 5th September 2025, I ran from my house in Puchong Jaya to Nobel, and back again. I took 4 hours and 11 minutes to run 42.195km. I started running at 7:00pm. I begun running from my house all the way to the Bukit Jalil Highway using Jalan Tempua 3. As I begun, I started jogging beside an uncle who was also jogging. Then, a car passed by and people were saying, "Jiayou!" I then steadied pace because I need to ensure I run to Nobel and return home safely. I will have a long road ahead. I was quite nervous and made sure I did not bring anything before heading to Nobel. I don't want to lose anything along the way. I then turned onto the highway as I got ready to run. I jogged, manouvered my way across the road to head to Jalan Puchong. A lot of people were praying and the Club Puchong United was praying for the Hungry Ghost Festival, setting up a big altar and bonfire at the field outside the clubhouse. Then, I turned right and begun running as the sun started to set. I had to wait until the cars were clear before I made my move to avoid further delays. I made my way down Jalan Puchong, and slowly jogged as the route begun an incline up the slopes. Then, there was a sudden drop after passing Taman Tenaga and Wong Chen's office. The road then dropped down for about another one more km. I then passed 3km and then a lot of cars whizzed by. Then, I reached the traffic light junction. A crowd of workers and passersby were waiting for a bus to arrive. Then, I saw another few more groups of people pray. The entire road from the start of the Puchong Jaya interchange to the Kinrara interchange was littered with bonfires, joss sticks and stuff. Then, I turned onto Persiaran Kinrara and passed the Kinrara Town Centre at another traffic light junction. Persiaran Kinrara will take me towards the Kesas Highway, the 5km point of the race. Then, I passed another traffic light junction and paced myself. It started drizzling. There were dark clouds and I looked at the Jalan Puchong skyline. Then, I crossed the Kesas Highway at the interchange. I then reached the opposite end of the highway and made my way across Klang River. Then, I slowly changed lanes across the road and then reached Taman Sri Manja. The entire place was littered with motorbikes. I then passed by Jalan Sri Manja and saw a lot of flags and decorations for Merdeka Day. Then, I followed the road to a traffic light junction. I then turned left and then followed the road. Some Malay guys on motorbikes saw me run, curious to see what was going on. They cried, "Laju, Laju!" I then made my way to the NPE Highway and then crossed the motorcycle bridge. About a month ago, on 3rd August, the NPE Highway had a marathon. Today, the road was littered with cars. I then returned down the bridge and passed the PJ Old Town on Jalan Othman. The road was littered with cars. This road was also used for the PJ Half Marathon on 17th August. Then, I followed the road to Jalan Templer, which was also used for PJ's half marathon. As I passed the Old Town Wet Market, I can smell the bak kut teh. It was so delicious. I made my way down Jalan Othman and passed towards Jalan Templer. The road became a steep climb and I cut the corners at the Assunta Hospital. Along the way, I saw someone push a wheelbarrow filled with garden waste. Some people on motorbikes saw me running and smiled at me. There was one Indian guy who saw me and was impressed. I made my way down Jalan Templer and then passed the Jalan Penchala roundabout. Then, I reached the Federal Highway interchange, marking the 10km point of the race. Then, I headed down Jalan PP Narayanan. This route was also used for the half marathon. I then passed a petrol station with lanterns in the colors of the Malaysian flag. Then, I followed the road past an excavation site for a new road and a sign denoting tree cutting by a developer. The trees had since been cut. I then saw the smallest roundabout in Petaling Jaya, possibly even the world. Then, I turned onto another road, Jalan 51a, past a mosque. A Malay guy cheered me on as I run. He smiled as he drove his car. Then, I made my way up a steep hill. I passed the Gui Yan Cemetery. My Sunway lecturer, Mr David Chong, who passed on 3rd June 2025, was buried there. I felt a solemn feeling, but I can feel his cheers and motivation for me. Turning onto Jalan 51a, which was also used for the half marathon, I followed the road down to Kampung Tunku. The Kelana Jaya skyline appeared in the distance. I then followed the road towards the SK Kampung Tunku. A motorcyclist, an Indian guy, told me to keep to the left of the road. Then, I pressed on. I headed down the road, and passed by a few houses with garden waste outside it. I started thinking of tree planting. Before long, I reached the LRT viaduct, and followed it to the Taman Bahagia LRT station. I then turned right on Jalan Bahagia, and then headed to the SS22 Wet Market. As I made my way to the right after the LRT station's junction onto Jalan Bahagia, and passed under the LDP Highway interchange, a crowd of Malay motorcyclists screamed and shouted at me. They chanted, "Laju! Laju!" to motivate me. Then, I ran to the end, and saw a family pray in front of the market. I turned left, and reached Jalan Megah, to enter Taman Megah. I passed by SJKC Yuk Chai. Many people from Yuk Chai go to Nobel. The most notable names are Caleigh Chan Li Ern, Kai Xuan, Giselle Lim, Adora Yap Si Yan, and Zoe Yow Cui Yi. Then, I followed the road up. I then kept to the left, jogged on the sidewalk and merged with the road. The road drooped down and we reached Jalan SS22/33. We have entered Damansara Jaya, the neighborhood where Nobel is. The Damansara Jaya folks hate Nobel very much since the school moved into the neighborhood. I started feeling fatigued. I then made out the Atria Shopping Gallery. Then, I headed into the exit to turn onto Jalan SS22/41. The traffic light stopped. All lights had been green until now. Bad luck. My leg was now not starting to cooperate and I felt fatigued. I made my way to the next traffic light junction, u-turned, turned left as a Grab vehicle passed, and paced myself on Jalan SS22/41. The school building of Nobel International School came into view. We had passed the 15km mark and are one hour 15 mins into the race. I then saw a banner near the Petronas junction. This junction is where Nobel parents shortcut to reach the school, which blocked the residential areas. The school had told parents not to use that road and instead use Jalan SS22/33 as per the arrival and dismissal instruction. But I hadn't talked about the banner. The banner said the following words: "ATTENTION! Nobel parents, please be considerate by not honking your car loudly in the morning. Please be a good example to your children. Thank you." Carmen, a Year 7 student from Nobel, had told me this. The banner was posted near one of the houses. Carmen had enjoyed listening to all the Bullseye stories, and I mentioned names like Lim Teck Wan, Sean Mark, and even my marathon feats. Then, the school building came into view and I climbed up the slope of the school all the way to the end of the road. The school's logo came into view. The school was dark except for some lights and the guardhouse. The guards were busy looking at reports. I then reached the end, turned at the dismissal area, and then jogged down. I looked into the school. Then, I turned left, made a turn at the LDP junction, and then begun the road trip back to Puchong. My legs were fatigued and it was only 16.3km at this point. I had not even reached the halfway point, but I needed to head back to Puchong. I hoped I can reach back and not crash halfway in the middle, stuck like that. My mum and sister had left to pick my aunt up who was attending a Methodist Church conference. Then, I ran down the road, and saw a lady in a red collared shirt and a man pass by. Then, I also saw a police officer checking the e-scooter of a security guard and also some guards at Damansara Jaya praying to the gods. Then, I reached the junction with Jalan SS22/33, and decided to head back to Puchong. I turned down the road and paced myself. Cars were exiting Atria Shopping Gallery. Then, I steadied myself to climb the big hill to Yuk Chai. I climbed up, steadied myself, and a group of motorcyclists exited the underpass near the hill. I climbed up, paced myself, and the Yuk Chai school came into view. Along the way, more people prayed and I can see Ara Damansara in the distance. Then, I turned to the left, and saw the old Nobel in the distance. A group of teenage girls on the road were praying. Then, a guy in a teal colored shirt was talking in Hokkien as he passed on his motorbike. I secreted my saliva to hydrate myself as I did not have my water bottle on my run today. Then, I told myself to hang on as we crossed the 20km point at the LDP Highway. The traffic light stopped as we waited for cars to pass. Then, I made my way down, saw an old Kopitiam on Jalan Bahagia, and headed towards Jalan 21a. The road was quite long as I passed the petrol station. My legs were fatigued. I passed 21km soon thereafter. We had another half to go. I also passed Ling Kee Ing, my churchmate's neighborhood, near the LRT station. She's in Puchong also to attend the Methodist Conference. I then followed the road and passed the cemetery. I tried to cheer myself by looking at the KL skyline in the distance. Then, I can see Puchong in the distance too. It was harrowingly far. A woman at a bus stop cheered for me as I ran. Then, I passed the Guan Yin Cemetery, and the roundabout. I turned onto Jalan PP Narayanan and started to see the Federal Highway interchange in the distance. My mouth by this time started drying up. I secreted more saliva to hydrate myself. Two joggers were jogging and I paced with them before overtaking them. They then tripped over a hole in the walkway. Then, I passed the Federal Highway bridge. At the side, near a showroom, a group of men were unloading stuff and loading stuff. Then, I crossed the highway, waited for cars to pass, and then made my way to Jalan Templer. I then told myself to hang on as my leg wasn't cooperating. Then, I made my way towards the Assunta Hospital and passed the Befrienders KL HQ. Assunta Hospital is the halfway point between Nobel and Puchong. I then cut the corners, turned onto the Jalan Othman, and then an announcer for an event was talking and motivating people and counting down at the Petaling Jaya Hockey Stadium. Then, I made my way down the road. Two Malay men smoked. Then, I reached the PJ Old Town and a bus passed. I swerved the traffic. Two drivers in a white car, both Indian, told me to keep to the left. Then, the motorcycle bridge appeared in the distance. I climbed the bridge, passed the highway, and went down before the next motorist came. Then, I crossed to the left and made my way down the road. Many motorcyclists looked at me. The Puchong skyline dawned in the distance. I then made my way down, turned right. My head started becoming dizzy. I then turned down Jalan Sri Manja and then passed a rubbish dump. I then turned left, and then headed down the road to meet the Kesas Highway. Finally, we are on the home stretch. My legs were starting to become difficult to move by this point. I then ramped up the ramp, crossed Kesas Highway, changed lanes, and passed a sign denoting government land. Then, I crossed into the Persiaran Kinrara and saw a motorcyclist come out from the area. Then, I saw MBSJ tape near hawker stalls nearby. Then, I passed the flats and reached Jalan Puchong. My legs were crying for help, but two terrifying hills greeted me before the finish line. The first hill was a 1km climb starting from the traffic lights near Taman Kinrara all the way to Wong Chen's office. As I made my turn, an ambulance u-turned, and I let it pass. There was another ambulance before near Jalan Templer when I made my way to Nobel. But back to the climb. The hill was tough, as I climbed perfectly. This was only one hill. In the Standard Chartered Marathon, ten such hills exist on the DUKE Expressway, as part of the course. I climbed very hard, and I pressed myself. Soon, I made my way atop the hill. There was a tent at the bottom of the hill for the Hungry Ghost Festival. I reached Taman Tenaga, Wong Chen's office, and the neighborhoods nearby. The view of Puchong Jaya came into view. I passed Taman Nangka, and then made my way carefully across traffic to enter Jalan Kenari. There, I ran past the Puchong Jaya Police Station, and then waved my hands to passing traffic. I did this throughout my run to Nobel. I then passed the shoplots where people were pouring a lot of hell paper to burn. Then, I reached the Persiaran Puchong Jaya Selatan. That is where I met my second hill, which will take me up a very large hill. My legs were screaming in pain. Last year, when running to Nobel, I did not include this hill. However, I included this to meet 42.195km. I then begun to climb. It was like the Heartbreak Hill of the Boston Marathon. The hill wind and I tried climbing it. The climb was terribly slow. The pain was immense. The real race started. I reached the top, made a turn at Sky Condo. The pace was slowing but I clung on to speed up a little. Then, I returned to the traffic light at Jalan Kasawari, turned onto the Jalan Kasawari, and climbed to SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft). I ran to the end of the road, u-turned, saw Mr Chee Keong's car parked at his house, climbed to Harcroft, saw the scenery, and ran down the hill back to Jalan Kenari, u-turning at the police station. Then, I passed by the bonfire which lit up those hell paper. I then ran to the police station, swerved right as cars waited, turned a u turn, ran back down to the Persiaran Puchong Jaya Selatan as the race neared its end. I ramped up the hill, ramped into Jalan Tempua which is my neighborhood, turned left onto Jalan Tempua 2, then ran along the road. The end was near. I tried speeding up a little, desperate to finish the race. Then, I reached Tempua 3. My mind played some funny games with me, teasing me to cut course. I then reached the end, turned onto Tempua 3, ran the last 400m, and sprinted for the line, crossing it. Then, I walked back. I spent 4 hours 11 minutes on the course and collapsed instantly on my bed before regaining consciousness. I called my aunt for help, who took 2 minutes to respond to me. OH YEAH!!! HOUSE TO NOBEL, WE DID IT AGAIN! YEAHHHH!!!!!
Attached is the route I took to Nobel, and back to Puchong.

Congrats! God bless!
If Mr Chan Lik Hoong can run from his house to Nobel and back, I think he will command great respect from the school, don't you think so?
Yes
He should run.....I can recall him running last time. If I am not mistaken, he might've ran during the National Day Run 2013 once before. I believe Mr Chan ran. Yeah, I think he commanded great respect from the school last time. In fact, during the 2013 run, when he ran, and also during the Sports Day, when he was in charge of all the major events, he was prided upon by the students.
Mr Chan said that he also took the opportunity to run the National Day Run 2013 before. I think he ran that time. He also said he drove from the Refreshing Spring Resort to Nobel on the highway twice to and fro within one day. I don't know if he has the physical capabilities to run to and fro, let alone a 5km run.
If he can't run, can he walk?
