Clarification on the inclusion of the name of Chee Fooi Foon, Guru Besar SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft) for Sports Day and associated events.
We intend to continue this for Sports Day 2026 owing to the success of the usage of Chee Fooi Foon's name. The display of Chee Fooi Foon's name involved turning the name into bulls, to symbolize Bullseye.
In 2023, Sports Day was originally planned for 23rd June 2023 but got postponed to 20th November 2023. As Bullseye was performing badly that year, we decided to make an important breakthrough in the scores. We decided to put Chee Fooi Foon's name as the majority of students in Nobel now come from Chinese primary schools before their secondary education in Nobel. Chinese primary schools have very ultra strict principals and people will normally fear the principal. The goal of putting the Principal's name, Chee Fooi Foon, on Sports Day, was to motivate the Bullseye members to do well, along with a letter with her name in it. The exposure of Bullseye members to Chee Fooi Foon's name resulted in Bullseye winning the 2023 Sports Day. In 2024 and 2025, although Bullseye lost, the display of Chee Fooi Foon's name on Sports Day 2024 caused Bullseye to regain its lead after falling to third place when the athletics events begun. During Sports Day 2025, Chee Fooi Foon's letter was sent to the house captain, Lor Jia Qi, and because of that, the marks for Bullseye shot up from 4th place to 1st for a brief period before dropping down again.
