DYMM
"Duli Yang Maha Mulia" is a title reserved for Malay sultans and rulers of states. It is advised to use "The Honourable" instead of DYMM as it is disrespectful to the royalty and we might be charged under the Sedition Act for insulting royalty and race/religion.
Tan Sri Lau is great enough; no upgrade needed! Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Noted.
But you're acting above all powers in Malaysia!
But Mr Thomas, I beg to differ, but using the word Duli Yang Maha Mulia is illegal, as we are not royals. Using the phrase Duli Yang Maha Mulia can land us in big trouble with the authorities as the Sultan or Yang di Pertuan Agong is the head of state of Malaysia. The Bullseye activities do not go above the highest authoritative powers in Malaysia, and neither did we act above all powers in Malaysia, but one thing we did is follow the Federal Constitution of Malaysia. The last thing I want is a 2am police raid on my house and the Special Branch pirates kidnapping me to Never Land. This had happened to Sanusi Md Nor, the Menteri Besar of Kedah, and Pamela Ling most recently. If we continue to use DYMM for all our Bullseye activities, we will lose the trust of the Damansara Jaya residents, and ultra-Malay activists will start protesting. Remember Dr Akmal Salleh? He kept on calling people to boycott KK Mart just because a picture of the word Allah is placed on socks, and petrol bombs were hurled at KK Mart outlets.
The usage of DYMM should be avoided at all costs. Perhaps we should consider using the title of Chancellor instead. The Chancellor of Bullseye.
In 2023, when Bullseye won on 20th November 2023, TWELVE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS received bomb threats the very next day, after Bullseye won the fifth victory year in the 2019-2023 streak. This is already very dangerous. Imagine if DYMM is used for the sake of Bullseye. The next day, Nobel's Damansara Jaya building will be besieged with petrol bombs, damaging and destroying school records. Do we want this to happen, all because of the sake of Bullseye? We will be labeled as terrorists by the school just because a careless misuse of DYMM got us onto the front page of the newspaper.
I beg to differ, Mr Thomas, but we are not operating over the highest authority in Malaysia, let alone all powers. Using DYMM is also an insult to Islam as the Malay rulers are the head of Islam and the symbol of the states and the nation as a whole.
Don't try to teach me! I had lived in Malaysia for many decades before you were even born, and if you try to use legalities for the fun I had, I'll stop communicating with you forever!
I didn't intend to teach you, Mr Thomas. I was only raising concerns as I was worried and scared.
