2025 Sports Day (UNLEASH - Sports Day 2025)

"Founder's Run 2025", "Unleash", "UNLEASH Sports Day", "Unleash Sports Day" , "2024 Nobel Cup" and "20th Anniversary Nobel Cup" redirect here.

The 2025  Sports Day, also known as UNLEASH - Sports Day 2025, was a sports event which took place on 28th February 2025 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium. It was the first Sports Day to take place at a venue other than the Panasonic Stadium; the last being  the 2014 Sports  Day at the Stadium Petaling Jaya. This event was won  by Slamdunk, marking the  first-ever Sports Day  victory of Slamdunk and the second sports  victory for Slamdunk after the victory of Nobel Cup 2019. The result also saw  Bullseye  coming in last place with 920 points. This is the worst performance of Bullseye since  the rebranding of  Nobel to an international school in 2012.

The  2025 Sports Day is also the first Sports Day since 2013 to combine both the Elementary School and the Junior and Senior School  into one Sports Day. This is also the third consecutive Sports Day to be postponed from its original date; the 2023 Sports Day was postponed from 23rd  June to 20th November; the 20th Anniversary Sports Day was  moved from its original 29th June date to the 2nd July 2024, and for 2025, the Sports Day was moved by one day, from 27th February to 28th February. This is also the second Sports Day to have a dedicated holiday as part of the rest day for Sports Day, after the 20th Anniversary Sports Day.

The 2025 Sports  Day was the first Sports Day  since  2015 not to include  Nobel Cup or Founder's Run as part of the scoring system, making the 2025 Sports Day  a "truly toss-up event". It is also the last of three Sports Days to take place at close range with another; the other being the  20th Anniversary Sports Day, which took place a little over  seven months since the 2023 Sports Day. The 2025 Sports Day took place close to eight months after the 20th Anniversary Sports Day.

Aftermath of the  20th Anniversary Sports Day

The 20th Anniversary Sports Day, which was won by Touchdown, was to be the crown jewel of the streak of Bullseye victory years since 2019. A Bullseye victory would have had culminated in a grand celebration of the 10th anniversary of the first Bullseye victory in the 2014 Sports Day.  As 2014 was the heartbeat of Operation Speedrunner, which led to so many Bullseye victories in Sports Day, Nobel Cup and  Founder's Run, and produced at least two back-to-back victory years or more,  the 20th Anniversary Sports Day was not meant to be a celebration of Nobel and Bullseye, but also to recognize, commemorate and honor every single Bullseye member who had  contributed to the victory of Bullseye. The 20th Anniversary Sports  Day hypothetical Bullseye victory could have also celebrated  five  years since the  22nd March  2019 Sports  Day victory of Bullseye.

Following the Sports Day, Mr Thomas claimed that Mr Chan Lik Hoong, the Management Advisor of Nobel International School, rigged the scores during the 20th Anniversary Sports Day, resulting in the loss of Bullseye, aside from not participating in the 100m race. He proposed that  Mr Chan be penalized in order to hold him accountable for Bullseye's loss in the 20th Anniversary Sports Day. However, Wei Yiang disagreed, suggesting that Mr Chan was clear of any wrongdoing and even if that was the case, the results were set in stone and the only way to reverse the results is to win the 2025 Sports Day. Despite the warnings by Wei Yiang, Mr Thomas insisted that Mr Chan be sacked for the  entire action and called Mr Chan a crook. He opined that if Mr Chan had run on the Sports Day, the outcome would be different. In reality, only students, and not teachers or staff, can contribute to the  house points. In reality, Mr Chan running on the Sports Day would have no effect on Bullseye's performance.

The uncovering of the points scoring system and the total points without the judging events riled up the Bullseye members. The scores without the judging events showed a Bullseye victory in the 20th Anniversary Sports Day. The investigation of  the  results  provided  clues on how  the loss can be averted, and these  were planned by Wei Yiang in the next strategies to be  proposed to the house captain  of Bullseye and the Bullseye members.

Scrapegoat year

The scrapegoat year  concept emerged at the conclusion of  the 2017 Sports Day. A scrapegoat year  consists  of a year which Bullseye did  not win, boxed in by two victory years preceding and succeeding  the  losing year. This had never happened on the scale of Sports Day, although it did happen on the scale of Nobel Cup. The 2016 Nobel Cup was a scrapegoat year as it was boxed by Bullseye's 2015  and 2017 Nobel Cup victories

Since 2021,  the plans called  for Bullseye to shorten the gap of losing from two years to one if Bullseye lost. The last time a gap of Bullseye losses happened was in 2017 and  2018.  For the 2025 Sports Day, Wei  Yiang wanted  to contain the loss to 2024. He said it was like containing the spread of cancer.

The feeling of losing the 20th Anniversary Sports Day exemplified the Bullseye  victory in 2023. A loss in 2025 would be feared that the Bullseye members will get used to Bullseye losing the Sports Day after two losses. Should Bullseye win the 2025 Sports Day, according to Wei Yiang, it would feel like there was no loss as  the victory feeling was still high.

Prior to 2024, the significance of the 2025  Sports Day was a culmination in the victory streak of Bullseye and the latest possible cut off date for the Bullseye victory streak from 2019 to 2023. Originally, Wei Yiang had  set 2023 as the cut off date, but it was extended  to 2024 to coincide with the 20th Anniversary of Nobel International School, and then to 2025 to coincide with the Wawasan 2020 Extended Deadline. This was made by Wei Yiang during the planning  of post-Covid Sports Days  in 2021 during  the MCO 3.0. Had Bullseye won the 20th Anniversary  Sports Day, Bullseye would have  had been seen as the defending champions, and would  be gunning  for the first ever  four  year  competitive title since 2022. It would have  had further extended the  victory streak had Bullseye won  the Sports Day  in 2025, and  there was  also a  provisional proposal to extend further to  2026 to recognize all  Bullseye victories  from  2014 to 2016  which  took place ten years  ago.

However, since Bullseye had  lost the 20th  Anniversary  Sports Day, 2025 was  the  opportunity for the  Bullseye members  to replace the  20th Anniversary  Sports Day loss with another Bullseye victory. Thus, planning begun immediately in  order  to  reclaim  the Champion House trophy from  Touchdown.

Revisitation of the Chinese Zodiac victory plan

Following Bullseye's loss in the 20th Anniversary Sports Day, Wei Yiang and Mr Thomas revisited the proposed Chinese zodiac victory plan. Technically, a plan to win 12 years for Bullseye in the Sports Day  failed because of the Bullseye loss in the 20th Anniversary Sports Day. Had Bullseye won the 20th Anniversary Sports Day,  it would only need  seven years to complete the zodiac. This would result in a Bullseye victory from 2019 to 2031.

Three options were proposed  to fulfill the Chinese zodiac, namely to win the Sports Day from 2025 to 2036, win the zodiac years  without a Bullseye victory, and to win either  the  2025  Sports Day  or  2025 Founder's Run.  The options were presented  to Mr  Thomas, who was tasked to pick one of the three options.

Option 1: Win every single  Sports Day  from 2025 to 2036.

This option mirrors the option presented by Mr Thomas  on 20th June 2024. In this option, Bullseye is proposed to win the 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034, 2035 and 2036 Sports Days.

To execute this  option, this would need to  involve twelve years of commitment to  Bullseye, serving generations who are not yet  even born. The people in 2036, by then, would be  born from  2019 to 2023. These generations  would be much younger than the  generation in Nobel today, who are even younger than the generation that initiated  the Bullseye victory streak. By the time this project is realized, it would have had  been 20 years since the first Bullseye victory.

The project would need to be  reset if one  of  these years  were lost, pushing back the  timeframe needed to fulfill it. At the same time, the long  timeframe would risk inciting the wrath of the management, who had dealt  with so many Bullseye  victories in the past.

Option 2: Win zodiac years without a Bullseye victory

In this option, Bullseye is proposed to win the years 2025, 2029, 2030 and 2036, as Bullseye currently had eight Sports Day titles.  The  years mentioned correspond to the losing years  of 2013, 2017,  2018 and 2024, which share the same zodiac animal as  the proposed years, with 2025 the snake, 2029 the rooster, 2030 the dog and 2036 the dragon.

The plan would require fulfillment of these years. Should all four fail, the next four years with such configurations would  be 2037, 2041, 2042 and  2048. It also carries some risk like  the one in Option 1, abeit smaller.

Option 3: Win the 2025 Sports Day or 2025 Founder's Run

In this option, all resources are to be  focused on winning either the 2025 Sports Day or the 2025 Founder's Run, as since 2014, Bullseye had  won either a Sports Day, a Nobel Cup or  a Founder's Run in a given academic year. 2025 would mark the twelfth year of the proposed zodiac. Bullseye had clinched the Sports Day  titles in  2014, 2015, 2016,  2019, 2020, 2021,  2022 and 2023; the 2014, 2015,  2017, 2018, 2022 and 2023 Nobel Cups, and the 2018, 2019,  2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Founder's Runs. Putting  all these years together will fill  in all gaps between 2014 and 2025, completing the Chinese zodiac.

After much deliberation, the final option was chosen by Wei Yiang and Mr Thomas to be executed as  it was simple, fast, efficient and motivating. It only required one Sports Day  as opposed to four or twelve. It was  much easier to convince the students in Bullseye  to win the Sports Day in 2025 or  the Founder's Run as the next one was the easiest one to  work on.

Nobel Cup 2024

As the Sports Day had concluded by July 2024, there was no Nobel Cup being held in the year 2024. Preparations for Nobel Cup begun immediately after the conclusion of the 20th Anniversary Sports Day. The aim of the Nobel Cup was to aid  Bullseye's Sports Day performance. Should  Bullseye win the  2024 Nobel Cup, the  scores would  be added to the 2025 Sports Day tally,  putting  Bullseye at a great advantage.

Traditionally, as per the previous Nobel Cups, the Nobel Cup 2024 would have been held at  the end of 2024. However, for the 2024 Nobel Cup, concerns grew as to which whether the Nobel Cup would take place or not, given that the 20th Anniversary Sports Day had concluded. According to Wei  Yiang, should Nobel Cup take place, the Nobel Cup would be held in November 2024, and added into the Sports Day 2025 results, just like what was done  in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Wei Yiang released a prediction on 28th August 2024 showing a Slamdunk victory in the Nobel Cup. Aside from that, Wei Yiang forecasted that  2024 would be the last chance for Bullseye  to win should it  do well in  the Nobel  Cup, within the 20th Anniversary Academic Year. Wei Yiang proposed strategies for each sports in the Nobel Cup and proposed reviving  2014  Nobel Cup strategies and 2015 Nobel Cup strategies to let the Bullseye members know what to do.

Mr Thomas suggested that Mr Chan should come for practice with the students from all sports houses and further added that Mr Chan should play all the Nobel Cup games and also participate in the 100m sprint. According to Mr Thomas, "In 2018, [Mr] Chan was a superstar athlete." Mr Thomas also added that Mr Chan was running at home. In response, Wei Yiang suggested that Mr Chan should instead be playing table tennis or chess, raising health  concerns as well as his age as an  issue, given  that  table tennis is a much more relaxing activity  to play with. However,  Mr  Thomas  insisted for  Mr Chan to stick with the arrangement suggested by him. He added  that Mr Chan should play these games as  punishment for Bullseye's loss in the Sports Day. However, Caleigh Chan Li Ern confirmed in August 2024 that no Nobel Cup will be held in 2024.

Wei Yiang  initially speculated that  the  Management  will restore  the Nobel Cup, backtracking on the statement by  Caleigh Chan Li Ern, and predicted 4th November, 8th  November, 9th November and  11th November as the  possible dates for Nobel Cup. However, no Nobel Cup took place in 2024. Seeing that circumstance, Wei Yiang suggested that should Nobel Cup be  integrated  into the Sports Day, the Nobel Cup might take place on Friday, 28th  February, followed by the  Founder's Run in April 2025  and  the Sports Day in July 2025. Wei Yiang said on 16th September 2024 that the Nobel Cup should be played in January or February 2025 in order to form a perfect lineup with Sports Day 2025 , predicted for July.

Nobel Cup was not held and the plans were cancelled, as confirmed by Ms Kiran Gill on 31st October 2024.

Proposed fundraising program for the 2025 Founder's Run

On 24th September 2024, Wei Yiang suggested that Bullseye members raise their own funds to crowdfund  the registration fees for the Founder's  Run following the conclusion of discussions on Nobel Cup. The plans called for every Bullseye member, or any Bullseye member, to fundraise a total of RM 40,000 from the general public. From this RM 40,000, a total of RM 200 will be given out to each of the Bullseye members in order to participate in the race by paying their own fees.  The proceeds  from the run will  be donated to Fungates Superflow Foundation.

Wei Yiang unveiled a chequebook containing a balance sheet showing the funds. The grand total for Nobel International School's donation to Fungates Superflow Foundation will be RM 160,000, and RM 40,000 will be contributed by Bullseye. Of  the RM 40,000, RM 10,000 will be used to purchase the run's t-shirts and other logistics. Wei Yiang criticized the price increase for 2024, saying that the Management is intending on stopping Bullseye from winning which they did in the 20th Anniversary Sports Day, and that for the 2025 Sports  Day, this can be dealt with and overcome with the fundraising. Mr Thomas agreed with the project.

Wei Yiang suggested that this method was necessary as based on students' sentiments, the fees for the 2024 Founder's Run was very overwhelming and that it  had caused a lot of students to opt out of the run. The  fees for Founder's Run were RM 50 in  2022, RM 100 in 2023 and RM 150 in 2024. The students were speculating the RM 200 fee for 2025. By raising the funds for Founder's Run, Bullseye members do not have  to fork out their own money to register  for the run. Aside  from that, they do not necessarily have  to participate in the run, as they would contribute 2 points for the registration. This would overcome  the financial problem that plagued the run's registration fees in 2024. Wei Yiang planned to use the KL Standard Chartered Marathon's "Run for a Reason" fundraising format to raise the funds. He also suggested getting the general public to donate to Fungates Superflow Foundation. Furthermore, Bullseye members who initially do not have intentions to run the race can choose to run the physical  race or  run the  Virtual Run at  home  and that this  can allow more Bullseye members to contribute total mileage to the total mileage standings, resulting in Bullseye winning the Founder's Run,  both virtually and physically. In the long run, this can contribute  to the increased points  by Bullseye. The points, according to Wei Yiang, can be further increased if all Bullseye members train for the run.

When  the plans were presented to Mr Thomas, he suggested that 20 percent of the RM 40,000 be passed to Mr Chan. This meant that RM 8,000 of the RM 40,000 should be given to Mr Chan.  Mr Thomas further revised the fee to RM 20,000, and  that it must  be given to Mr Chan in order to preserve Bullseye. Mr Thomas said  that Mr Chan needed to use the money for his restaurant expenses. He further added that  should Wei  Yiang and the Bullseye members decide against  giving Mr Chan the money, then Mr Chan will decide to dissolve Bullseye as a house in Nobel  International School, and  keep the remaining houses; Touchdown, Homerun and Slamdunk. Mr Thomas based the  imperative theory on the  fact that Mr Chan Lik Hoong was behind the downfall of Bullseye. Wei Yiang called the theory absurd and that if the money is not given to charity and it  involved public funds, the team would be asking for trouble.

"In order to preserve the Bull's Eye, Chan will demand a commission of 50  per cent of the total profit. You should do that, or else Chan would decide to scrape the entire Bull's Eye and keep only the other  3 Houses."

~ MR THOMAS, SPEAKING ON THE REIMBURSEMENT OF FUNDS TO MR CHAN LIK HOONG FOR  HIS MEALS, 28TH SEPTEMBER 2024, AT 1:27PM MALAYSIAN TIME

On 29th September 2024, Wei Yiang, on investigation into the 2024 Founder's Run profit and increase in race  fees, presented the facts that Fungates Superflow Foundation was expanding to Ampang and building a new Soup Kitchen there and as such, needed extra funds. The information was posted on Fungates Superflow Foundation's Facebook page. He then asked if  Mr  Chan Lik Hoong himself had a restaurant that can  be used for charity, or if he himself owned a restaurant. Mr Thomas said that Mr Chan frequently goes to high-class restaurants for his meals. In further discussions, Wei Yiang suggested that Mr Chan, instead of heading to restaurants for his  meals, should focus on repairing the toilets in the school premises and turning the school cafeteria into a seven-star Japanese restaurant. Students in Nobel International School had  complained  of the toilets at the new campus in Damansara Jaya,  saying that  the toilets were unhygienic and  filled with a lot of stagnant human poop which can't be flushed because the  school ran out  of funds to fix  the toilet  bowls and that there were several washrooms out of order for two weeks. Mr Thomas disagreed, saying  that Mr Chan needed to spend the money at the Hyatt Regency, Hotel Majestic, Marriott Hotel, and other eight star hotels for a luxurious buffet which costs RM 2000 per meal. He further added that if Mr Chan Lik Hoong could have his expensive meals, he would not have money to fix the toilets. He was quoted as saying, "Toilets are nothing compared to stomachs. Toilets are not their concern! Money is!" before criticizing the management members. Mr Thomas said that as long as  Mr Chan still works in the school, a Bullseye victory would be impossible and that Mr Chan will succeed with the blessings  of Auntie  Clarine. The remark was dismissed by Wei Yiang as just "nonsense remarks".

Wei Yiang proposed inviting Chee Fooi Foon to run the Founder's Run, and that Chee Fooi Foon participating in the run was the best way to motivate the Bullseye members. Mr Thomas said that it was a  great idea to allow  Chee Fooi Foon to run. He said that Chee Fooi Foon can beat everyone, including Mr  Chan's wife. He then proposed using the Founder's Run fundraising money to fund the nutritious meal, transport expenses  and training gear of Chee Fooi Foon. He quipped that Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, would be willing to sponsor her as he is above the Ministry of Education. Wei Yiang proposed using Touch n Go Ewallet to fund  the fundraiser, or a donation box.

Mr Thomas revealed that Mr Chan goes to the  Hilton Petaling Jaya hotel almost every  day just to eat a fancy meal. While Wei Yiang  had no issue  with Mr  Chan having  his  meals, he opposed funding Mr  Chan's meals  using the proposed Bullseye fundraising stash. He said that the act of funding Mr Chan's meals with charity cash can violate the law for cheating. Wei Yiang disagreed  to the fact that Mr Chan will demand money from Bullseye like that, and  that Mr Chan was not a man who would blackmail people and coerce people just for his own good. Mr Thomas continued to use the opportunity to criticize Mr Chan for his actions.

The plans were criticized by Jordan Tay, who said that this looks good on paper but it might cross legal lines, and the same was said with Wei Yiang's family members. Wei Yiang's uncle, Dato Teo Yen Hua, said that a plan like this for  charity would  need approval from the Inland Revenue Board and a permit from Fungates Superflow Foundation to proceed. Furthermore, most people would prefer to donate  directly to Fungates instead of via Wei Yiang and  Bullseye. Hence, the plan was eventually  scrapped after backlash which involved several Bullseye members criticizing it. This left Wei Yiang with no  option but  to physically and verbally persuade  the Bullseye members to join the Founder's Run.

Wei Yiang further criticized the weekend format of Founder's Run and vouched for a return to the weekday format, claiming it will disadvantage Bullseye in future editions of the Founder's Run.

Proposed renaming of Bullseye to Crowseye

On 4th October 2024, Mr Thomas said that Bullseye will need to change its name to Crowseye and its color to black in order to win. He  said that the new name would cause the victory of Bullseye as black is a symbol of good luck, and that  black people are the strongest and most powerful people on earth.

Wei Yiang criticized the plans, saying that a crow is considered a disgusting animal among Malaysians, and that black is a color of mourning. He further added that red is considered an auspicious color in Chinese culture.

Mr Thomas  further claimed that Crowseye  will win without any question and that the black athletes can win a lot of events, including marathons, following the successive sweep of all top  10 categories in the full marathon event of the 2024 Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon.

"That's y I said  black is power. No bull can challenge a crow. That tells us y we must use Crowseye for the House. Crow's Feet would be even lovelier. Black is the powerhouse of everything. Their men are the most handsome and their women are the most beautiful. Malaysia must give black foreigners free citizenship unconditionally.

~MR THOMAS, RESPONDING TO THE RESULTS OF THE 2024 KUALA LUMPUR STANDARD CHARTERED MARATHON, 6TH OCTOBER 2024

The plans caused alarm among the Bullseye members. Wei Yiang reiterated that Bullseye cannot change the name to Crowseye as it was set by the management and that Bullseye members preferred keeping the name. Mr Thomas then suggested the Bullseye members sue Mr Chan so that he would agree to change the name. Wei Yiang said that if he agreed with Mr Thomas to change the name, the Bullseye members will fire him. Mr Thomas quipped that the Prime Minister of Malaysia will agree to change the name of Bullseye to Crowseye, and that Mr Chan was afraid of crows. He said that the management was very clever  and that "we  must swap the colours of the management with ours." Mr Thomas further stated that people in the United States used the word bull in a swear word and not the word crow. He further said that if the people of Bullseye did  not agree with his suggestions, they are bad.

Mr Thomas further said  that if the House  Captain of Bullseye did not agree with it, he should be dismissed and changed to another individual who agreed with it. The suggestion riled up negative sentiment among the Bullseye members. Wei Yiang also said that the name of Bullseye was the perogative of the management and that it cannot be changed. He proposed boycotting the 2025 Sports Day events  if the name was not changed, and that he  will not support Bullseye if the name is not changed to Crowseye.

Crow's statue on Sports Day and the release of crows on Sports Day.

On Monday, 14th October 2024, Mr Thomas said that if a statue of a crow was placed on the Sports Day, "it would be great." Wei Yiang agreed with the plan as it would revive a  proposed dove statue from 2017 which wasn't executed. He also suggested giving a mini crow statue to Chee Fooi Foon as she would  be bound to support a statue of it.

The next day, Mr  Thomas further suggested that "a few hundred cages placed in the stadium", full of crows, be released when Bullseye is behind in a running event, and repeat this with each event to ensure the victory of Bullseye. The running events include  the Sports Day track and field events and Founder's Run.

"You must release them only if BE is behind in a running event. But  only release 10 for each event. as you have only 2 or 3 hundred in total. Even Carl Lewis will be  scared and incapacitated. BE would then get the First for that event. Repeat the same at every event to ensure BE victory."

~MR THOMAS, PRESENTING THE OPTION OF RELEASING CROWS TO CHEER ON BULLSEYE MEMBERS, 15TH OCTOBER 2024, 1:20PM.

Wei Yiang advised caution that it would be against city council bylaws in  Malaysia to feed and rear  crows, and that the Shah Alam City Council, where the Panasonic Stadium is, has banned  the  practice.  Mr Thomas told him to report it to Anwar Ibrahim.

Wei  Yiang asked if a crow be brought to the 2024 Nobel Cup. Mr Thomas said yes, and further added that every Bullseye member must bring crows, and that Ms Praveen Shadaan should also bring one. He further said that Mr Chan and Auntie Clarine should bring 10 or more crows. Wei Yiang asked if the crows be  paper crows in order to comply with the school rules. Mr Thomas said that live  crows be brought to the  Nobel Cup.

Wei Yiang told Mr Thomas that in order to bring live crows, permission must be given  by Ms Praveen as per school  policy via written approval as stated in the Student Code of  Conduct. Mr Thomas called for Ms Praveen to be sacked. He said that Mr Loh, the then Head of Student Affairs, should replace Ms Praveen as the principal after Wei Yiang outlined that Ms Joyce,  Mr Loh or Ms Cynthia may take over as future principals. Mr Thomas then called for  Mr Chan to be sacked  and for  Mr Loh to replace him as Management Advisor. Wei Yiang dismissed the plans, calling them overexcessive and stating that school rules must be followed.

Crow's Feet Soup

According to Mr Thomas, the Ugandan athletes eat Crow's Feet Soup and that it was the best nutrition for runners. He said that it can be obtained from Thailand and that it can be imported into Malaysia, and that all the Bullseye runners must  visit Thailand to obtain Crow's Feet Soup. He said Ugandan television do not publish the recipes of Crow's Feet Soup, which is published by Idi Amin. Upon visiting the Internet, Wei Yiang found no mention of the story.  Mr Thomas continued to talk about Idi Amin, other individuals like Trump, Kim Jong Un and Adoft Hitler, and boast that Chee Fooi Foon, upon eating Crow's Feet Soup, can win the New York City Marathon.

Bullseye Recovery Plan

On 4th October 2024, Wei Yiang published a 'Bullseye Recovery Plan', detailing the strategies for Bullseye to win the 2025 Sports Day.

The  Bullseye Recovery Plan was presented  to Aidan Ooi, the 2024  House Captain, during the Year 11 Graduation Night at Hotel Majestic Kuala Lumpur on 21st November 2024. Aidan subsequently agreed with the plans, which contained a series  of  actions  that  the Bullseye captain for 2025  must  take note of in order  to win.

The plan contained a series of steps that the Bullseye captain can do in order to win the Sports Day, listing down the strategies for Nobel Cup 2024. The plan contains most of the plans discussed by Mr Thomas and Wei Yiang  as well as some of  Wei  Yiang's own ideas, alongside the 20th Anniversary Sports Day's  results without the judging events, showing Bullseye winning.

Prediction and announcement of  dates for  Sports  Day 2025

Prediction of dates

In August 2024, Wei Yiang informed  Mr Thomas that based on sixth sense intelligence and the onus on the planning of the Management Team, the Management Team is considering two dates for Sports  Day 2025. The Sports Day 2025, according to Wei Yiang, would either fall in the March/April timeline or the June/July timeline. Nobel International School traditionally held the Sports Day in the March/April timeframe beginning from the school's early beginnings all the way until 2020. Beginning from 2022, sports events are planned to be held at the middle of the year to leverage on the timeframe of the year  to build up excitement to the main day.

On 28th August 2024, Wei Yiang said that the Management  Team is planning the 2025 Academic Calendar and are undecided on the date. The predicted date for Sports Day 2025 was 26th June or 4th July 2025 for the June/July period, and 25th or 30th April  2025 for the March/April period. The  Founder's Run was scheduled for 21st/22nd February 2025 for the March/April Sports Day timeframe, and 25th/26th April 2025 for the June/July timeframe. Wei Yiang added that the management is divided on the schedule for the  2025 Sports Day.

On 7th December 2024, Wei Yiang theorized that  the management was split into two camps. The first camp, comprising of Ms Praveen, Mr Lew and Mr Meshach, planned to hold the Sports Day in July 2025, just like how the 20th Anniversary Sports Day was run. Mr Chan Lik Hoong  had wanted a reversal of the Sports Day to March/April in order to avoid disruption to the IGCSE exams in May/June. The biggest caveat was the timeline of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, which included the fasting month of Ramadan, and Wei Yiang theorized Puan Halimah advising against a March/April date in order to give time for Muslims  to fast during Ramadan.

Announcement of dates

On 25th November 2024, Nobel International School released the 2025 Academic  Calendar. Wei Yiang  received the calendar on 9th December  2024, which saw a significant change to the Sports Day lineup. Under the 2025 calendar, the Sports Day was proposed for 27th February; the rehearsal day on 19th February and the Founder's Run for 12th April. 27th February was considered an early date for Sports Day and it was the earliest Sports Day to be held in Nobel  International School's history. The earliest Sports Day  to ever be held prior to this was the 2010 Sports Day on 5th March 2010.

The  calendar was  instantly criticized for the intentional omission of the 2025 Founder's Run from the Sports Day, as without the Founder's Run, Bullseye would not be able  to win the Sports Day; Bullseye won the 2024 Founder's Run. Aside from that, critics also mocked  the ultra-short timeframe  for the Sports Day, as concerns that there would be lack of time  for practice for Sports Day would  disadvantage Bullseye in the Sports Day itself. Both the omission of the Founder's Run and the short timeframe from the first day of school to Sports Day were criticized as intentionally stigmatizing Bullseye, and critics opined that it was Mr Chan Lik Hoong who suggested the dates for Sports Day and  Founder's Run. The date of Sports Day 2025 was coincidentally placed a few days before the start of Ramadan on 2nd March 2025.

Among students of Nobel International School, the Sports Day was ridiculed for being too early in the year,  and that it involved a lot of preparations and logistics. The date of the 2025 Sports Day makes it the third Sports Day to be held within the course of only 15 months; a  little over a year, and the most closely intervalled Sports Day gaps in history.

Solicitation of support from Principal Kuan Muk Lang

On 9th December 2024, Wei Yiang managed to obtain the support of the new principal of SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft), Kuan Muk Lang for the 2025 Sports Day. The plans come in the midst of the preparations for Chinese New Year. Principal Kuan Muk Lang was in the red team during her school days and expressed support for the project.

At the time of the approval, SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft) was planning for a Chinese New Year  carnival to be held on 11th and 12th January 2025. The Chinese New Year carnival would take place on two days, expanded from the single  day format in January 2023, on 8th January 2023. Aside from the carnival, the event was planned to also include a Chinese New Year dinner on Saturday, 18th January 2025, to end the 2024/2025 Academic Year of SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft). The closeness of the Sports Day to the Chinese New Year celebrations led to Wei Yiang adopting the theme of Chinese New Year for the 2025 Sports Day.

Adoption of Chinese  New Year as Wei Yiang's Sports Day theme

For the 2025 Sports Day, in order to motivate the Bullseye members, Wei Yiang chose the theme for Sports Day as Chinese New Year. The theme was welcomed by Principal Kuan Muk Lang, Principal Chee Fooi Foon, the board of directors of SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft),  retired principal Ng Ean Hooi, parents, teachers and students of SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft). The closeness of the Sports Day to Chinese New Year allowed Bullseye members and their supporters to take advantage of the Chinese New Year celebration to make it "a grand celebration for Bullseye".

For years, many Bullseye members had associated the Chinese New Year celebrations with Bullseye. The occurrance of Chinese New Year in February and the Sports Day in March and April made it impossible to fuse the celebrations together. However, many younger members of the Chinese community still value the importance of Chinese New Year.

Only two events in Nobel International School's history utilized  Chinese New Year as the theme for the event. In 2012, the Junior and Senior School held the inaugural Young Entrepreneur Challenge, which saw students competing with each other for the highest profits, and the theme was Chinese New Year. Subsequently, for the 2013 Prefects' Bake Sale, the theme of Chinese New Year was used.

On 2nd February 2019, Jason Leing, the former athletics captain of Bullseye who was suspended, proposed to Wei Yiang that he adopt the Chinese New Year as the theme for the 2019 Sports Day. As the 2019 Chinese New Year celebration occurred on 5th February 2019, and the Sports Day took place on 22nd March 2019, it was not feasible to fuse the Chinese New Year celebration with Bullseye, and many people saw the combination as weird at the time to the largely English-speaking population at the time.

However, with the  rise in students from Chinese primary schools enrolling into international schools like  Nobel, a change in tune was needed. Unlike 2008 or 2012, more students are speaking Mandarin at Nobel, and the school had introduced a Dual Language Programme to allow students to quickly transition to English from other languages. Therefore, an appeal was needed to the theme to reach out to Chinese school students. The Chee Fooi Foon theory was great, and a new set of innovation was needed. Hence, the suggestion by Jason  Leing was revived.

2025 is likely to be the only Sports Day in which the Chinese  New  Year celebration and Sports Day both occur in the month of February. To celebrate this once-in-a-generation fusion of the dates, Wei Yiang proposed the  fusion to the Bullseye members who accepted the fusion. The fusion was welcomed by Chee Fooi Foon and Kuan Muk Lang.

Harcroft Chinese New Year decorations

Following the declaration of Principal Kuan's support for Bullseye, the school immediately decided  to do a series of Chinese New Year decorations for the school. Between 9th December and 31st December, SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft)  enlisted workmen to come to the school and install the  Chinese New Year decorations. The school installed at least 100 big lanterns around the ground floor of the school, as well as the hallways of the school, the school cafeteria, guardhouse and school hall.  The school also installed total of 76 smaller lanterns near the school hall's drop off area. Aside from the lanterns, the school also decorated the field area with eight plum blossom trees  and two more on the lamp posts in front of the school gates. The decoration  followed  the design Wei Yiang presented  on a countdown clock which counted down to the start of Sports Day.

The decorations were welcomed by the students, teachers and parents of SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft).

Wei Yiang's 2025 Bullseye banner

The Bullseye banner for 2025 consists of the words "2025: Hail to Chee Fooi Foon & Bullseye", to symbolize the conclusion of a list of Sports Day, Founder's Run and Nobel Cup champion house winners from 2013  to 2024. The original plan was  to put "2025: Bullseye", before being revised to "2025: Hail to Bullseye", and "2025: Hail to Chee Fooi Foon & Bullseye". The crow carries the phrase, and the words Chee Fooi Foon are turned into bulls riding the crow. Surrounding the  crow is a series of all the chalk art drawings drawn in front of SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft) and the banner  is colored red to combine the Chinese  New Year couplets with the heart and soul of Bullseye.

The banner  is drawn with images of the Beijing National Stadium, Beijing National Aquatics Center, the World Trade Center's twin towers, a map of Wisconsin and Michigan, ballot boxes in Malaysian elections, the Whirlpool and Waves at Naruto Awa Province drawing, a set of bonsai plants, Gardens by the Bay, a firecracker, Grasslands National Park rock formation, Columbia River Gorge waterfall, a Chinese painting with trees and mountains, an origami fish, lanterns forming the Olympic rings, two Chinese knots, the Beijing 2022 and Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic logo, lantern tails forming the Paralympic logo, the Sunway University campus, a Canadian maple leaf, Chinese couplets bearing the Chinese characters fu and chun, and Mount  Kinabalu.

First day of school, 2025.

The first day of school of  Nobel  International School took place  on Monday, 6th January 2025. Instantly, students were also asked to decorate their classes for Chinese New Year  in an  event coordinated by the Mandarin  department. Aside from that, students were also tasked with decorating the school premises for Chinese New Year.

Prior to the first day of school, during the school holidays, Mr Chan Lik Hoong spent money to upgrade the school toilets and cafeteria as per the request of Mr Thomas upon receiving the grievances from Mr Thomas. Aside from upgrading the school toilets, the school also upgraded the reception counter and front desk, alongside some classrooms and innovation centers. The upgrades were welcomed by Mr Thomas, as he praised Mr Chan for using "common sense" and deciding to spend the money on important things that he would prefer to spend time on. However, on the first day of school, some of the toilets broke down within a day, resulting in the toilets being closed for a week for repairs. Overall, students  welcomed the upgrades to the school. The upgrades were subsequently posted on the school's website and Facebook page.

Return of Ms Michelle Loh to Nobel  International School

Ms Michelle Loh Kim Hui was the  former principal of Nobel's Elementary School and  a founding staff member of the school. Ms Michelle served as principal of the Elementary School from January 2005 till November 2012. The other founding staff of Nobel International School were Auntie Clarine, Ms Melinda, Mr Chan Lik Hoong, Mr Chuang Peck Guan, Mr Tan Seng Kee and Mr Daniel Tan.

Ms Michelle Loh served as the principal until November 2012, when she decided to return  to Sarawak to be with her family. Her husband, Mr Daniel Tan, served as the head  of co-curricular activities for the Junior and Senior School before he was succeeded by Mr Paul Lau in 2013.

Upon returning to Nobel, Ms Michelle served as the Head of Student Affairs of the Junior and Senior School, and restored some old practices that took place prior to 2012, such as the song 'It's a Beautiful Life' as the assembly song and various cultural celebrations to revive and renew the school which was devoid of many activities. The news was welcomed  by Lau Wei Yiang to more loud cheers; louder than that of Principal Chee Fooi Foon.

Management and staff promotions

Ms Praveen Shaadaan, the principal of the Junior and Senior School, was promoted to the Chief Learning and Development Officer  for Nobel International School for the Academic Year 2025, and Ms Colleen Ng was promoted to Principal from Positive Psychology Practitioner, taking over the role  of Ms Praveen. Ms Colleen had been with Nobel International School since 2018, and had served in 2017 as  an internship capacity.

For the Academic Year 2025, Ms Praveen introduced the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into the teaching and learning resources, marking Nobel's first advent into the Sustainable Development Goals practices.

When Ms Michelle was appointed as Head of Student Affairs, Mr Loh, who was serving in that capacity, was appointed Deputy Head of Student Affairs.

2025 House Captain Election

The 2025 House Captain Election was held on Monday, 6th January 2025, during the morning assembly. The elected house captain was Lor Jia Qi and the assistant  captain was Jayden Tan. The banner captain was Qian Yi, Sherlyn became the marchpast captain , and the dance  captain was Wong Pey Yi. This is the first time in Bullseye's history in which Year 10 students from Bullseye were given full-fledged captain status for the Sports Day. Previously, Year 10 students were at most given the post of assistant captains. Notable Year 10 students in the past who held  assistant  captain positions are Isaac Ng for the marchpast in 2018 and Tan Ying She for the dance  in 2018. Other houses also held assistant captains too; Marcus Chai from Homerun served as assistant house captain in 2017; Leong Yi Zhen held the title of Homerun's assistant banner captain in 2016; and Soon Qiao Qian who was Slamdunk's assistant dance captain for the year 2017.

Launch of Sports  Day 2025

On 10th  January 2025, Mr Meshach David and  Mr Lew Wei Him launched  the 2025 Sports Day during the morning assembly. Mr Lew Wei Him was mainly in charge  of the logistical announcements while  Mr Meshach was  in charge  of the format  announcements. The duo were accompanied by Mr Wong, who was announcing the rules and regulations for the track and field events as well as the conduct of competitions.

Mr Meshach announced that  on Monday, 13th January 2025, each house would spend  time during the morning assembly to elect  their next house captain to lead the Sports Day. Mr Lew added that the Sports Day preparations and activities would begin after Chinese New Year. He further added that the Management is not  going to combine  Founder's Run together with the Sports Day despite the Founder's Run being on the calendar. Instead, the Founder's Run will have its own event; more of which will be announced after the conclusion of Sports Day. This makes the 2025 Sports Day the first Sports Day since 2015 to not include the Founder's Run, and the first time in the run's history that it was not included in the Sports Day.

For the 2025 Sports Day, the management announced that the Bukit Jalil National Stadium would become the venue for the 2025 Sports Day, as announced by Mr Lew Wei Him during the morning assembly, thus confirming that the stadium will host the Sports Day in lieu of Panasonic Stadium. The  school booked the stadium in order to take advantage of the free booking initiative by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to hold the Sports Day, which had been launched since October 2023 in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Kuala Lumpur Sports City. The free booking period runs until September 2025, and according to Hannah Yeoh, the Minister of Youth  and Sports, the ministry decided to implement this initiative in order to encourage the students to run on the tracks at the stadium and inspire them to become future national athletes, as several events, such as the AFF Suzuki Cup, the  2017 and 2001 Southeast Asian Games, and the 1998 Commonwealth Games, had taken place  in this stadium, which was exclusively built for the Commonwealth Games. This development resulted in the first  time since the 2014  Sports  Day  that the main venue for Sports Day took place at another venue  other than Panasonic Stadium; the 2014 Sports Day was held at the  Petaling Jaya  Stadium which  is located near the Kelana Jaya Park.

Similarly, the management also announced that the school had decided to combine the Elementary School and the Junior and Senior School's Sports Day into a single Sports Day, which will be held on 28th February 2025. This meant that the 2025 Sports Day will become the third Sports Day to be postponed from 27th February 2025, and it will also become  the  first  Sports  Day  since the  2013  Sports Day to exclusively combine the Junior and  Senior School and  the Elementary School's  Sports Day into one  event.

Since the 2006 Sports Day,  the elementary school and the Junior and Senior School had a combined Sports Day. This continued  together with all Sports  Days excluding the 2012 Sports Day, right up to the 2013 Sports Day. Following the 2013 Sports  Day,  all Sports Days  were segregated up  until now. While the  20th Anniversary Sports Day involved  Elementary  School students, those  were a  partial involvement; the 2025  Sports  Day is  the  first  Sports Day since 2013  to fully involve all Elementary School students.

Mr Meshach also added that there will be a few slight changes to the schedule of Sports Day. He announced that the Sports Day will move its pre Sports events  from 19th February to 20th February. He also announced the sports schedule for all the events and that the official events will begin after the Chinese New Year celebrations. The practices for Sports Day would begin immediately and that the Pre Sports Events would be held from 10th to 20th February, the Sports Day Rehearsal on 20th February, and the Sports Day on 28th February. On top of that, the Elementary School will have a rehearsal for the telematch events from 3rd  February to 7th February during the Character Transformation period. On a separate development, Mr Lew Wei Him announced that the CCAs would commence in March, following the Sports Day, and that students have until 28th February 2025  to register for their CCA via the Parents' Portal. The CCAs would  commence on Monday, 10th March 2025 and will run until 31st October 2025. In all, according to Mr Lew, there would  be 35 CCA sessions for the entire academic year. The CCAs would take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school hours.

Mr Meshach also announced that there will be a cheer competition on Monday, 20th January 2025, and that students will practice the cheers for a week from 13th to 17th January before school begins.

Wei Yiang's proposal to hold Sports Day at Bukit Jalil National Stadium

Prior to the 2023 Sports Day, Wei Yiang suggested that Nobel hold the Sports Day at Bukit Jalil in order  to  take advantage  of Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh's suggestion. The proposal was presented to the school via email on 30th July 2023. Wei Yiang also prefered using Bukit Jalil because of the proximity of the location to his house in Puchong.

Format of the 2025 Sports Day events

For the 2025 Sports Day, the management decided to remove the class system for Sports Day and replace it  with a new system categorizing all performances based on the year levels. This means that each event will have a new classification based on year levels. There are three classifications for each event, namely Year 7, Year 8/9, and Year 10/11. This classification will apply to the Pre Sports Events, the Sports Day and the Founder's Run. These announcements were made by Mr Wong on the same day as the launch of Sports Day.

The judging events were also announced by Mr Meshach; the awards for first, second, third and fourth place will be 100, 50, 20 and 10 points respectively.

The SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft) Chinese New Year Celebration

On Saturday, 11th January, and Sunday, 12th January 2025, the SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft) held a Chinese New Year celebration on the school premises. The Chinese New  Year celebration featured a fair selling Chinese New Year cookies, a health check, a food bazaar, a vegetable stall, an accessories gallery and several game stations. The intent  of the  carnival was to raise funds to aid SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft)'s school funds, as  the school is a government school. The carnival also featured a basketball game by the school's students.

During the Chinese New Year celebration, Principal Kuan Muk Lang was joined with the board  of directors of the school to  perform a Chinese calligraphy art  ceremony. Subsequently, Wei Yiang met Principal Kuan twice during the Chinese New Year celebration to discuss the support for Bullseye during the  celebration. Aside  from Principal Kuan, many parents and students also pledged support for the victory of Bullseye.

Cheer Competition

The cheer competition took place on Monday, 20th January 2025, during the  morning assembly. The house cheer for Bullseye was formulated on 13th  January and students were given a week to practice for the house cheer. The cheer competition was  the  first competition of the Sports Day  tally. The cheer competition was won by Slamdunk, followed by Touchdown, Homerun and Bullseye.

On the morning of the Cheer Competition, Mr Meshach was emceeing the competition. Upon the arrival of all students at 7:45am, students were told to gather in their sports houses. The judges for the cheer competition were Mr Chan Lik Hoong, Ms Ingel, Ms Michelle, Ms Jean and Mr Chuang. Each house was given three attempts to cheer as well as 15 minutes before the competition to practice their cheer.

Following the cheer competition, Wei  Yiang planned the next moves on the next stage of  the  strategy to counter the Bullseye loss in the Cheer Competition.

Attempts to deliver a letter to Lor Jia Qi, the House Captain of Bullseye

On Friday, 24th January 2025, Wei  Yiang attempted to  deliver a letter to Lor Jia Qi, the house captain of Bullseye, following Bullseye's poor performance in the Cheer Competition. The  letter contained a web link to this Bullseye blog, the endorsement messages of Chee Fooi Foon and Kuan Muk Lang, the history of  Bullseye , as well as a  warning to Jia Qi that the management will rig the 2025 Sports Day. Wei  Yiang said that the management was planning to use the short Sports Day preparation period to disadvantage  Bullseye.  The letter was intended to motivate Bullseye, warning Jia Qi of the management's tactics to  contain Bullseye.

Wei Yiang made the trip to Nobel on 24th January just before the Chinese New Year holidays.  However, he was stopped from presenting the letter  to the captain  by security personnel at Nobel.

Wei Yiang attempted to make another trip on Monday, 3rd February but had to cancel the plans due to personal circumstances. He eventually delivered  the letter to a teacher who passed it to Jia Qi on 7th February. Jia Qi received the letter on Monday, 10th February, and communicated the message with all Bullseye members the same  day. The letter was widely credited for changing the standings of Bullseye from last place to first place on 14th February. Following the presentation of the letter, a second plan was instantly developed for the Founder's Run.

Announcement of Bullseye leading in the Sports Day tally.

On 14th February 2025, a week after the letter  was delivered to Lor Jia Qi, Azalea Wong announced that Bullseye was leading in the tally. As more  information followed, the order of the houses was revealed as Bullseye,  Touchdown, Slamdunk and Homerun on the points tally.

Upon hearing the announcement, Wei Yiang burst into cheers  like a mad guy. The news was also positively received by Principal Kuan Muk Lang and all the students at SJKC Shin Cheng  (Harcroft). All the strategists and Wei Yiang's team cheered as if a goal had been scored. Celebrations immediately erupted in quarters outside Nobel as the Bullseye lead was confirmed to be true. The reactions were pandemonium  and  madness as the folks in Puchong cheered the resurgence of  Bullseye.

On the evening of 14th February, Wei Yiang led a  crowd at SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft) to praise Chee Fooi Foon and Kuan Muk Lang for doing a good job for Bullseye, as their  declaration of support for Bullseye in the letter to Jia Qi had resulted in Bullseye leading in the standings after Jia Qi read the letter. There were cries of "Chee Fooi Foon, Jiayou!", with Jiayou meaning "add oil" in Mandarin to signify motivation. The folks chanted "Chee Fooi Foon, Jiayou! Kuan Muk Lang,  Jiayou! Bullseye, Jiayou!"  Two additional  rallies were held praising Chee Fooi Foon and Kuan Muk Lang on 15th and 16th February. The rallygoers cried and shouted all the teachers'  full names at SJKC Shin Cheng (Harcroft), praising  them for their extraordinary and cool support, which made a Chinese school look so cool. There were chants of "Chee Fooi Foon! Chua Siu Chun! Ong  Shaw Shan! Choi Chee Wei! Koh Phek Ling! Yong Wei Sim! How Poh  Lian! Soh Le  Beng!"

The rally was instantly criticized by Ng Mee Kuen for being disrespectful to the principals and teachers, especially when the principals' names were used for such an activity to support Bullseye. Additionally, Ng Mee Kuen also criticized the rally for being weird and mad and said that including the names of the principals  in the letter was astonishing. The rally  was defended by the community members, saying that it was necessary to drum up support for Bullseye. The security guards at the school attended the rally and praised Chee Fooi Foon and Kuan Muk Lang for their tremendous support.

Proposed Public Holiday Declaration

On 15th February 2025, Wei Yiang announced that a public holiday shall be declared from 1st March to 12th April should Bullseye win the Sports Day. The public holiday would be declared on 1st March 2025, 3rd March 2025, 4th March 2025, 5th  March 2025, 6th March 2025, 7th March 2035, 8th March 2025, 10th March 2025, 11th March 2025, 12th March 2025, 13th March 2025, 14th March 2025, 15th March 2025, 17th March 2025, 19th March 2025, 20th March 2025, 21st March 2025, 22nd March 2025, 24th March 2025, 25th March 2025,26th  March 2025, 27th March 2025, 28th March 2025, 29th March 2025, 2nd April 2025, 3rd April 2025, 4th April 2025, 5th April 2025, 7th April 2025, 8th April 2025, 9th April 2025, 10th April 2025, 11th April 2025 and 12th April 2025, with 18th March already a public holiday due to Nuzul al Quran, and 31st March and 1st April being Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.  The intent of declaring the public holiday in the event of a Bullseye victory was to allow people to train and run the Founder's Run's virtual and physical runs. Should Bullseye win the Founder's Run, according to Wei Yiang, the holidays shall be extended to include 14th April 2025, 15th April 2025, 16th April 2025, 17th April 2025, 18th April 2025, 19th April 2025, 21st April 2025, 22nd April 2025, 23rd April 2025, 24th April 2025, 25th April 2025, 26th April 2025, 28th April 2025, 29th April 2025, 30th April 2025, and 2nd May 2025, with 1st May 2025 being a public holiday due to Labour Day. The further intent was to thank everyone for reclaiming the trophy from Touchdown and to also allow everyone to prepare for the Mid Year Examinations and IGCSE Malay and Mandarin exams.

The proposed holiday declaration was criticized by investors as detrimental to the global economy. The public holiday was not declared due to the loss of Bullseye in the Sports Day. Wei Yiang had also proposed a victory celebration should Bullseye sweep both the Sports Day and Founder's Run at the same time.

Pre Sports Events and Sports Day Rehearsal

On  Friday, 10th January 2025, the Sports Day Rehearsal was announced by Mr Meshach David to be postponed from the originally planned date of 19th February, to 20th February, to accommodate the Pre Sports Events. The Pre Sports Events begun on Monday, 3rd  February, and ended on Thursday, 20th February. The Pre Sports  Events took place  on 19th February 2025 at the Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya stadium in Ampang, Selangor, comprising the Long Jump, Shot Putt and 4X400m events. The remainder of the events, namely the 4X200m, 1500m and 800m took place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on 20th February.

High Jump events

The High Jump events took place between 10th and 14th February 2025. The High Jump was held at Nobel International School while the Long Jump and Shot Putt took place at SMK Damansara Jaya. The events took place after school hours. Mr Wong announced the venues during the Cheer Competition on 20th January. He said that the Long Jump and Shot Putt must take place at SMK Damansara Jaya because of the lack of a soil and sand facility at Nobel International School's new campus. Due to the rain, some of the long jump events were delayed after some students got injured when jumping on the slippery soil. The competitions were supervised by Mr Wen Khai, Mr Ryan Chan, Mr Wong, Mr Lew, Mr Meshach and a few other PE teachers.

In the high jump event, Caleigh Chan Li Ern from Homerun managed to get first place overall for the high jump competition. Aside  from that, Wong Pey Yi from Bullseye managed to bag second place, and Tan  Louise from Slamdunk in third place.

The awards  were presented by Ms  Colleen, the Principal of the Junior and Senior School  on Tuesday, 25th February 2025, during the morning assembly.

Unveiling of the 2025  Sports Day attire

On 19th February 2025, Nobel International School unveiled the design of the 2025 Sports Attire to the public on Facebook. The Sports Attire was colored in black, with the left sleeve bearing the colors of the sports houses when printed in the respective colors. The design of the sports attire also contained a lion at the bottom left corner of the shirt and the words "UNLEASH: Sports Day 2025" on the chest. The back of the shirt contained the words Nobel International School in capital letters.

The design was criticized for being ugly just like the 2023 and 2024 Sports Attires, and compared to the initial request by Mr Thomas to swap the colors of Bullseye with the color black. When Mr Thomas was presented with the design, he expressed satisfaction at the design, having previously said that black is the color of good luck.

Pre Sports Events

The Pre Sports Events took place on 19th February 2025 at the Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ)  Stadium in Ampang, Selangor. The school originally planned to book the Bukit Jalil National Stadium for the event, but however, the Bukit Jalil National Stadium was booked for the day and undergoing maintenance. Therefore, the school opted for the MPAJ Stadium.

Students who were headed to the Pre Sports Events were bussed from Nobel International School directly to the MPAJ Stadium. Those that were not involved in the Pre Sports Events carried on with  their lessons as usual. The students departed from Nobel at 8:00am and reached the MPAJ Stadium at 9:00am. The students were participants in the Long Jump, Shot Putt and 4X400m.

Following the arrival of the students at the stadium, Mr Lew Wei Him gathered everyone in their houses for a briefing. Mr Lew said that the events would take place starting with the Year 7 category, followed by the Year 8/9 category and the Year 10/11 category. Mr Loh meanwhile reminded everyone of how they should conduct themselves while at the venue. Then, everyone was assigned to their stands allocated to each house, manned by a teacher. The Bullseye stand was manned by Mr Wen Khai. Each student who had to go for their events were told to register at a registration booth manned by Mr Gallagher.

Upon the conclusion of the events, everyone was told to gather at the field where further announcements were made by Mr Meshach  and  Mr Lew, and each house did their house cheer before returning to Nobel International School. The students waved flags and cheered on before they boarded the buses. The event was witnessed by Auntie Clarine, Ms Praveen and Ms Colleen. The students left for Nobel at 1:00pm and returned at 2:00pm.

Sports Day Rehearsal

The Sports Day Rehearsal took place on 20th February 2025 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

All students were required to head to the venue via their own transport, and were requested to arrive by 7:45am. The event was a combined dress rehearsal by both the elementary and the Junior and Senior School.

The school staff begun arriving as early as 5:00am at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in order to prepare the venue for the rehearsal. The preparation was done  by the Student Affairs Department and the Sports and Recreation Department, and the  logistics  were  handled by Mr Loh, Mr Meshach, Mr Lew, Mr Wong, Mr Gregory and the PE teachers.

Outside the stadium, RELA guards were assigned to direct traffic and point to the entrance as people were ushered  through the Gate B entrance located towards the right hand side of the reflecting pool in front of the stadium. At the entrance, everyone was ushered into the stadium. Elementary School students were  told to gather in their house lines at the entrance of the  stadium, while Junior and Senior School students were  instructed to proceed to the stands of their respective houses. The houses' seating arrangement, as viewed from the field, from left to right, were Bullseye, Slamdunk, Homerun and Touchdown.

The students were then told to be seated and not leave the stadium unnecessarily. Between the Slamdunk and Homerun stands, were the similar said stands, but  for Elementary School students. After each of the students had gathered at  their sports houses, each housemaster took the attendance of the students and reported the attendance to Ms Colleen.

Wei Yiang reached the stadium but was told he could not enter as it was a closed event by Ms Ingel. Therefore, he stood outside to watch the rehearsal.

At  7:30am, the Elementary School students were told to follow their teachers to their house lines. The Bullseye Elementary School members then cheered when Wei Yiang unveiled his Bullseye banner.

At 7:45am, the gates of the stadium were locked and guarded by security personnel. The students were then briefed over what to do by Ms Michelle, Ms Ingel, Mr Loh, Mr  Meshach and Mr Chuang. At the basement of the stadium, Mr Loh and Puan Halimah went around and discussed logistical affairs. The stadium was crammed with all the telematch equipment brought from school. Ms Ingel made an announcement  to the Elementary School students on what they should do in the stadium and told the students that they cannot  leave the stadium without permission and that they  should be  seated at all times  if not doing anything or using  the washroom or meeting their teachers. On the other hand, Junior and Senior School students were  told that they should also remain seated if not doing anything unless they needed to use the washroom or head for their events. Students were later told by Ms Ingel that they can head to buy snacks at selected points inside the stadium if they felt hungry.

At 8:00am, all students participating in the rehearsal were told to head down to the basement to gather. They were given 15 minutes to practice their marchpast before the opening ceremony rehearsal begun. Mr Meshach then set up his workstation consisting of all the PA system equipment, which was placed near the grandstand. He had to wear earphones in order to communicate properly with stadium and technical staff as he had to use the stadium screens.

Prior to the Sports Day Rehearsal, on Monday, 17th February 2025, the students were briefed by Ms Elysha during the morning assembly as to what the stadium layout of the Bukit Jalil National Stadium looked like. The students were told  to enter the track area  via Tunnel B which is located next to the Touchdown stands of  the stadium if they wished to access the field for athletics events or to head for the march and dance practices. To access Tunnel  B, students will need  to head up the stands to the pedestrian area of the stadium, and then climb down a flight of stairs to an air-conditioned  tunnel. The tunnel will lead to two exits; Tunnel A and B. The students were told to use  Tunnel B as Tunnel A was mainly used by vehicles and stadium staff to enter and exit the stadium as it was the service entrance. While Tunnel B also had a service entrance, it was closed and locked, thus allowing students to gain full access of the area. The dance and marchpast teams were given the tunnel to do their practices.

The rehearsal went well before Mr Meshach gave feedbacks to the students. Following the rehearsal, the Elementary School students were told to do their telematch rehearsal, while the 1500m, 800m and 4X200m events kicked off. Students participating  in the march and dance were given time to  do further rehearsals before a second rehearsal at 11:30am. Mr Chuang coordinated  the telematch events.

At 11:30am, Mr  Meshach announced that a second rehearsal was to take place and  requested everyone to assemble. Then, the rehearsal went  smoothly before all students were told to be seated for a final briefing. During the  briefing, Mr  Meshach said that students  participating in the Sports  Day opening ceremony will need to arrive by 1pm and all students should  be at the stadium by 2pm to take their attendance as the Sports Day is a school day. Mr Meshach further announced details of the Sports Day before the students were dismissed at 1:00pm.

Sports Day 2025

The Sports Day 2025 was held on Friday, 28th February 2025, at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium. The Sports Day took place from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

At 7:30pm on Thursday, 27th February, Ms  Sha called Wei Yiang and told  him not  to hang the banners and  props for Bullseye which he designed, as this will result in the stadium staff reprimanding the school as the school had signed a contract with the stadium stating terms and conditions  for spectators.

On the morning of 28th February 2025, school staff as well as some students arrived at the stadium  to do preparations for Sports Day.  The school staff arrived as early as 8:00am to set up several canopies and PA systems for the Sports Day, and hung a  banner on a billboard in the stadium to display signs containing the backdrop for Sports Day 2025. The logistical affairs  were coordinated by Mr Lew Wei Him, who arrived at 9:00am to coordinate  the installation. The logistics team set up the banners, PA system, and tested the sound system and television cameras of the Sports Day.

The Bullseye dance team members arrived at 9:45am to practice the dance, alongside some marchpast members. The stadium was full of  excitement as some students arrived early to do their practices. The Bullseye members then also practiced their  marchpast  moves, arriving at 10:00am.

At 11:00am, many of the students took  their lunch before  having a final set of rehearsals at 1:00pm. Following the  rehearsals, the students were given a  brief  reprieve until 2:30pm to get  ready and stand by for the opening ceremony of the Sports Day. Most of  the students not participating  in the events arrived between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. Parents and visitors begun arriving  at the stadium at 1:00pm.

Visitors reaching  the stadium, such as alumni and parents, were given a wristband and had to register  before passing through a checkpoint, while students were allowed entry through the checkpoint. The  visitors, alumni and parents had to sit at a dedicated stand between the Slamdunk and Homerun stands.

At 3:00pm, the Sports Day soon begun with the performance of the Elementary School students from the four combined houses before the dances from each individual houses. For the first time in Nobel International School's history, the Sports Day was emceed by students instead of teachers. The Sports Day was also the first Sports Day in Nobel International School to be attended by Hannah Yeoh, the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Following the dances of the four Elementary School house contingents, the marchpast commenced with the entrance of the Junior and Senior School's marchpast team. The houses marched in the order of Bullseye, Slamdunk, Homerun and Touchdown; the same as the Elementary School dances. Once the marchers had entered the stadium, the National Anthem, School Song and School Pledge were led by Elyssa, the Head Prefect of the Elementary School. The Sports Pledge was then led by a group of athletes before the dance competitions begun. Following the dance competitions, the athletics competitions soon begun with the 100m events for the Year 4, 5 and 6, the Year 7 100m events, the Year 8/9 and Year 10/11 100m events, and the same for the 200m, 300m, 400m, 2X100m, 4X100m, and the Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 50m events.

During the 4X100m events, the Elementary School telematch competition was ongoing and supervised by Mr Chuang. The rain soon came and partially disrupted some of the events. The 2025 Sports Day is considered the shortest Sports Day in history, with sports events lasting only 1 hour and 30 minutes.

At the closing ceremony, Keith Lew was announced as the Sports Boy for the 2025 Sports Day. As such, he became the first Bullseye athlete since Sean Mark in 2017 to receive the award for Sports Boy. Meanwhile, the results for the judging events were the same as 2017. Touchdown, Homerun and Slamdunk managed to win the dance, march and banner competitions, defending their victories from the 20th Anniversary Sports Day. The Sports Day also saw Slamdunk winning first place for the first time, becoming the third house after Touchdown and Bullseye to win the Sports Day. The 2025 Sports Day also saw Bullseye achieving its worst Sports Day result in history, at 920 points and at 4th place. The result further cemented the 2017 Sports Day as the best Sports Day result for Bullseye, with the 648-649 score that year. The students were told to immediately vacate the stadium after the conclusion of Sports Day by the stadium staff.

Founder's Run 2025

The Founder's Run 2025 took place on Saturday, 12th  April 2025  at  the Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam. The 2025 Founder's Run is the first Founder's Run to be separated from the 2025  Sports Day scores. It is also the first Founder's Run to not  award scores overall.

Registration for the Founder's Run begun on Monday, 20th January 2025. The students had until Saturday, 22nd February 2025, to register for the Founder's Run. The theme for the 2025 Founder's Run was 'Runcare  Together'. Slamdunk led the registrations for the Founder's Run.

The Founder's Run 2025 was the least-attended Founder's Run in the history of the holding of Founder's Run. It is also the  tenth edition of the run.

The run  begun with a registration of students  before a warm  up being done by Mr  Meshach. The APT song by Bruno Mars  was played in a remix version to signify  the Zumba dance. Auntie Clarine flagged off the Elementary School students on a 2km run followed by the Junior and Senior School students. Following the  run, students were treated to a birthday celebration of Auntie Clarine, a prize giving  ceremony and a group photo.

When  it  was announced by  Mr Kevin Wai that there was no points awarded for Founder's Run and that the Virtual Run was cancelled, Wei Yiang predicted that Mr Thomas will say that Mr Chan Lik Hoong shut off the power, resulting  in Bullseye  being  unable  to earn points  to win  the Sports  Day. On Monday, 14th April 2025, Mr Thomas explained just that, as expected.
