The 2013 Nobel Cup was the first edition of the Nobel Cup. The winner of this Nobel Cup was Homerun, followed by Bullseye, Touchdown and Slamdunk. The Nobel Cup 2013 was held from 20th September to 21st September 2013, with the closing ceremony on Friday, 4th October 2013.
Establishment of Nobel Cup
Nobel Cup was an election promise of Chew Wei Zhuen, the first president of the Nobel International School Student Council. The Student Council Election was held on 17th June 2013,was the process which elected the Student Council, with Wei Zhuen as its first president. Prior to the election, candidates running for the newly elected Student Council had to formulate plans they would like to do if they win the election.
The Student Council was first proposed by Chew Wei Zhuen, Nicole Chan, Alexander Cornelius, Samantha Goh and Caleb Fong, back in April 2013, which was approved by Ms Evelyn Tay, the then principal of Nobel's Junior and Senior School. With the support of Ms Marien, elections were held for the Student Council, complete with indelible ink, and run by the Student Council Election Commission (SCEC), which ran the Student Council Elections and had a logo similar to Malaysia's Election Commission, except that the Malaysian flag on the logo and the words 'SPR' were replaced with Nobel's logo and the SCEC initials. Students had to vote during their Character Transformation session for two candidates; one for the Council Committee and another for their Level Representatives from Year 7 to 10; Year 11s were running the Council Committee. The election process was run like how a general election in Malaysia will work.
The main purpose of the Nobel Cup was to empower students to come together as a community and to feature sports events that do not take place on Sports Day. The first Nobel Cup begun with badminton, basketball, netball and futsal games.
House Captain Election for Nobel Cup 2013
As part of the Nobel Cup, a separate house captain election took place during the Year 10s' Character Transformation session on 12th August 2013, with Brian Ong and Emily Liew being elected as the captains.

The main aim for Bullseye is to win the 2013 Nobel Cup, having failed to win the 2013 Sports Day.
Schedule of Nobel Cup 2013
The Nobel Cup was formally opened on Saturday, 21st September 2013 by Ng Kuan Yew, the deputy president of the Student Council, following a rules and regulations briefing by Ms Shamalatha Cynthia. The tournament was spread out over two days; 20th and 21st September. The futsal and badminton games were held on 20th September while the basketball and netball matches were held the following day.
During the Nobel Cup competitions on 21st September, the match between the Senior School was the most violent in history, with many players falling and crashing on the court during the basketball competition, resulting in many injuries. There was an LED scoreboard installed by Homerun's members to manage the scores.
The Nobel Cup concluded on 4th October 2013 with a formal closing ceremony, in which Homerun was named the Champion House of Nobel Cup.
