I notice that Nobel School has removed the guards from the small lane next to Petronas out of the taman in the morning. I’ve encountered inconsiderate parents 2 days ago and today where they block the exit of this lane. Today it’s VEP 7118. Would need your help to speak with the school authorities to educate their students’ parents to leave the entry and exit unblock while they are in line. I think that’s just common courtesy that unfortunately seems to require education. Thanks!

DJROA is silent on this issue. Please be cognizant of members’ numerous grouses and act accordingly. Don’t just keep welcoming new members!

"It is absolutely incorrect to blame DJROA for inaction before clarifying the matter with DJROA. DJROA had been having a round of discussions with Nobel International School before the school started resulting in the school preparing the traffic management system which was subsequently posted on the DJROA FB.
The President himself went on the ground on the first day of the school to monitor the traffic situation. Continuous monitoring of the traffic is made and feedback given to the school. DJROA is also in discussion with the Councillor and MBPJ and a meeting will be held on Monday 13 February to discuss further actions to be taken by the school to improve the situation.
The problem occurs mainly during the after school dismissal period between 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Part of the problem is due to inconsiderate parents and transporters who start queuing before the dismissal time. It is hard to change human behaviour and we need time and tolerance to resolve the problem."

PK Ong Thank you! Finally you have come out to explain what you have been doing to find an amicable solution to this issue which have be nagging DJ community for the past weeks.
Hopefully from now on you will periodically update us on the progress of your efforts. And we don’t have to vent our frustrations on FB.
No one is above the law especially so now with a new government voted in. Hopefully those who park at junctions, traffic lights, blocking roads etc, will be brought to justice.

PK Ong thanks for the effort from drjoa representatives to work with SN. Appreciate the time those reps put in for the neighborhood.
Those that flout the system cause dangers and nuisance and we need continuous improvement, monitoring and management.
What time is the meeting on 13 Feb?
At DJROA centre?
Who will be there?
Thanks!

Edmund Lim , the meeting is organised by Nobel and MBPJ, it will be in Nobel International School . DJROA is invited to provide feedback, we have a representative to attend the meeting and feedback on the challenges and issues.

PK Ong that's great!

Appreciate if you can advise:
Will DJROA share the feedback that's given?
Are there channels for residents to give inputs? As there may be different issues affecting different households, and some are raising directly to Sri Nobel for attention.

Ang Bee Chin Since you direct your comments to me I feel the need to reply. If you read my comments carefully, l am questioning the silence of DJROA to the many comments made by members. Finally DJROA has responded and I am glad and appreciative of their efforts.
I am not a traffic control expert and do not wish to provide solutions which might not be practical. No where have I pointed fingers. And after staying in DJ for 35 years I am very much aware that the committee is a volunteer group who have willingly offered to help the community. I have also helped DJROA in getting donations during their Covid-19 aid drive.
My main point is for the committee to respond to the community’s concerns.
Any further comments to me should be done elsewhere and not here and I will respond if I see fit.

If some of the parents get the children to walk, say from Petronas to the school, the queue won't be so long.

Nobel school can hv teacher on duty besides the road to ensure the kids r save to walk, only with guard may not be convincing enough for the parents, my kids in normal public school already hv this practice, don't tell me an international school can't do that

Vijay Veerappan yes as it doesn’t add any value to the neighbourhood nor the small businesses around it.

Yes confirmed the guards have been removed for the past few days. When turning out, do be caution for cars from the second lane as our view will be blocked especially if the cars letting us out from first lane is big.
