The Virtual Founder's Run started last Friday. Yesterday marked the 5th anniversary of the MCO.
We need to make sure Bullseye wins the 2025 Founder's Run on 12th April, which is also the nomination day for the Ayer Kuning by election.

This is the first Founder's Run in history to take place AFTER Sports Day has concluded. Previously, all Founder's Runs took place before Sports Day.
Last year, Founder's Run took place on 27th April, and the Sports Day was held on 2nd July.
In 2023, Founder's Run was held on 22nd July, with the Sports Day occurring on 20th November.
In 2020, Founder's Run was held on 14th April 2020, and the Sports Day was scheduled for 27th March 2020.
In 2019, Founder's Run was scheduled for 22nd February 2019, and Sports Day took place on 22nd March 2019.
The same was said in 2016, 2017 and 2018, when the Founder's Run took place on 26th February 2016, 8th February 2017 and 7th February 2018, with Sports Day being held on 24th March 2016, 31st March 2017 and 29th March 2018.
The management has decided to SEPARATE Sports Day and Founder's Run into separated events because of the performance of Bullseye. The Bullseye members used Founder's Run as a tool to gain advantage.
Bullseye has won all Founder's Runs since 2018. This is the longest victory streak out of any sports event in Nobel International School.
2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.
This was what our victory streak from 2019-2023 would have looked like and was planned to look like.
However, those folks prised off 2018, the immediate year after I graduated, as well as 2024, the grand crown jewel in all of Bullseye's wonderful victory years.
The year 2018 was intended to replace 2017 as a comeback year of resumption for Bullseye. For 2024, the reason the year was chosen was to honor all of the Bullseye member of the past, as well as everyone in Nobel. The 20th Anniversary of Nobel International School and the 10th Anniversary of Bullseye's first ever Sports Day victory.
When Bullseye started winning in 2014, a total of four victory years was planned. 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
The plan was to win those years as well as their Nobel Cups, following the success of Bullseye's 2014 Sports Day and Nobel Cup victory, as well as the 2015 Sports Day victory and 2015 Nobel Cup victory.
But I want to focus on something called a "cut off date". It is a date where we put an end to the Bullseye victories.
A cut off date is important in order to provide a check and balance on overindulgence on the victories of Bullseye as well as to avoid too much of a high expectation which can result in psychological damage if Bullseye lost. This is evidential following your 12 year victory project to complete the Chinese zodiac. We can plan for a 12 year streak, but we cannot put it all in one go. We must take it slow and steady, putting in one year at a time.
Putting in all 12 years at one go would result in our nerves being upended and we ourselves becoming depressed due to a Bullseye loss.
When I wanted to do four years, I want to put it not in one go, but one at a time. I did not directly propose to the captain to win 4 years as we are not mentally prepared. Instead, we just asked everyone year after year if we can win the next year.
This is like the MCO in Malaysia. Covid 19 lasted for more than 5 years. If Muhyiddin had told those folks on 18th March 2020 that this thing would last for five years, eveeyone would be depressed and annoyed.
Instead, he said that MCO would be for 2 weeks. Then, it extended, and extended, and extended.
And then you get five years.
When we talk about Bullseye winning, the 4 years was not in one go.
In 2014, our sole focus was on winning Sports Day and Nobel Cup.
Then, in 2015, for the Sports Day, after the success of Nobel Cup in November, we asked if we could replicate it in 2015 for Sports Day, and we did. Then it snowballed over to Nobel Cup 2015 and Sports Day 2016.
When 3 years passed, all that was needed was to win the final year, 2017.
We need to win 2017 in order to close off our life in Nobel. After all, that would be best to do so.
Instead, we lost 2017 and also the 2016 Nobel Cup the previous year.
But long story short, if we propose 12 years directly to the captain, he will reject it and all Bullseye members will think we are crazy.
But if we plan for 12 years and then we said to the house captain, for example, to win 2026, he will accept it. Then propose to the next one to win 2027, and he will also accept it. Then, in 2028, we talk to the house captain to win 2028, and he will also be in favour. Then repeat the same for 2029, 2030, 2031 and all the years through 2037, and you will at least have the plan.
12 years is too much to digest for the Bullsrye people. One year is easy. One step at a time. We should not rush the process.
In fact, for the 2019-2023 streak, the same was presented to Ashwin and Chia Zheng in 2019 to win 2019. Back then, we wanted to have a FOURTH Bullseye victory year. We wanted to do it in 2017. Instead, it was delayed to 2019.
There were already 3 Bullseye victory years. 2014, 2015, 2016. The fourth was scheduled to 2017, but got delayed to 2019 thanks to two Touchdown victories. 2019 brought closure to 2017.
Then, in 2020, to celebrate Wawasan 2020, we then decided to revive a plan in 2015 called Bullseye Vision 2020, to make Bullseye a grand house in 2020. This was almost foiled by Slamdunk, but we manged to win Founder's Run 2020 and the overall score for Sports Day 2020.
Bullseye then notched the 2021 year. So, when we won the year 2021, it became even with 2016, when there was a plan of 3 victory years. Hence, the 2017 plan for four years was revived.
In 2021, there were three years. Add in the year 2018, and you'll have one Touchdown victory and 3 Bullseye victories. Put the period from 2014 to 2017, and you'll have a reverse image. That's the Bullsrye prophecy if you include a slew of names and historical context to the B-U-L-L-S-E-Y-E letters.
For the year 2022, the plan was to win the fourth year. The management made so many events easy till Homerun became a competitor to Bullseye.
But Bullseye won the overall score for 2022. So, in 2023, the management first tried putting Founder's Run AFTER Sports Day to wreck the situation. But due to the heatwave, Sports Day was postponed, allowing Bullseye to win.
Then, in 2024, the momentum was continuing until the management changed the scoring format for Sports Day following Bullseye's 2024 Founder's Run victory. The management also added in the judging events in order to block Bullseye from the scores.
But the athletes themselves did not do well. We lost 2024 as such.
In fact, the victory years for 2022, 2023 and 2024 were planned during the lockdown. At the time, the question was of when will be the first Sports Day after the MCO is over.
2022 was when the sports events begun. But 2023 was the first Sports Day. Bullseye wonn all of them.
As 2023 was won by Bullseye and following pressure from Ms Bee Yong, I took a backseat. 2023 was already so unprecedented as it is the longest Sports House victory ever in Nobel International School. Since 2024 was to be an extension of that unprecedented victory length, it is best determined for the existing students, who were very determined, to make the charge to win it. After all, it will be the same as 2023, except that we will be winning the 20th Anniversary celebrations.
In 2020, I also took a back seat, starting with the 2019 Nobel Cup which contributed the 2020 Sports Day scores. Ashwin told me not to actively participate as the Bullseye members would feel annoyed at my participation and also that the Year 11s wouldn't have their moment and credits due if I credit myself to the victory of Bullseye. Hence, I would only take a front seat if Bullseye was losing.
Bullseye almost won 2024 until a surprise attack by Touchdown.
Long story short; if we take the 2019-2023 period and put it with the 2014-2018 period, it is a period of five years. 2019-2023 is like 2014, 2015 and 2016, with the years 2017 and 2018 delegated to Bullseye.
I have just come up with a plan for the period of 2026-2030.
The year 2026 is coming within less than 300 days' time. Sports Day 2026 is expected for April 2026. 10th April, to be exact.
Founder's Run 2026: 14th February 2026.
2026 is the 10th Anniversary of the Founder's Run. The plan is to win 2026 so that Bullseye can rise up again.
The year 2026 is also the 70th Anniversary of Hing Fook Soon's life. So we want to grandly commemorate his birthday also.
2030 is also important, as it is Chee Fooi Foon's 60TH ANNIVERSARY. So in tribute to the Lady Liberty of Bullseye, let's commemorate her also.

World Athletics president Lord Coe emphasised the importance of "innovation" as he officially launched his campaign to become the next president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The two-time Olympic 1500m champion from Britain unveiled his manifesto alongside those of the other six candidates vying to succeed Thomas Bach next year. Coe pledged to reform the IOC, stating that "too much power is concentrated in the hands of too few people."
Speaking at the Olympic Park in Stratford, Lord Coe, who chaired the London 2012 organising committee, stated, "Many of the things I’ve done at World Athletics have sparked a debate. That’s not something I shy away from. In a world that changes every five minutes, we have to be very open to analysis that doesn’t always fit comfortably with how we see the world. And we should embrace that."
One of Coe’s bold ideas involves potentially moving some indoor sports from the Summer Olympics to the Winter Games if he becomes IOC president. Saudi Arabia is considering a bid to host the 2036 Olympics, having just been awarded the World Cup in 2034.
"Innovation is critical, we have to be open to new ideas," he stressed. "Climate change is going to fundamentally make us have to think about the global calendar, where we take our events and the times of the year that we take our events. And some people have even suggested that we might want to look at the balance between the winter and summer Games.
"You have venues where some sports are indoors. In theory, you could move them to another time of the year, perhaps to the Winter Games. These are the kinds of discussions I would encourage, because only through debate can we eliminate ideas that may not work."
Coe’s proposals also emphasised his commitment to enhancing youth sport, implementing 'clear, science-based policies' to protect the female category amidst ongoing discussions about gender eligibility rules, and ensuring athletes' voices are heard.

On 22nd March 2019, Bullseye won Sports Day 2019, and the victory of Bullseye is like the awakening of a May 9,2018, but for Nobel.

Sometimes, we cannot be blaming Mr Chan Lik Hoong all the time. We need to be responsible ourselves. If we continue to blame Mr Chan, then many of the Bullseye members will lose trust in us. We will be unable to regain the trust and the house captain will expel us.
Let's say that Nobel's top students got a B for all the IGCSE subjects just because Cambridge Assessment International Education made the examination very difficult, causing Nobel to result in 2 consecutive years of losing the title of Top in Malaysia and Top in the World.
Like Bullseye, Nobel International School has gotten a Top in Malaysia or Top in the World for every single calendar year since 2014. It has been a prestigious moment for the school. And for Bullseye, winning so many years has been a prestige for the team. So, if Cambridge made the exam difficult and Nobel loses its crown of Top in Malaysia and Top in the World, what are we going to do?
Are we going to blame the Chancellor of Cambridge University? Are we going to demand that he be sacked for the job because he hates it that Nobel always gets Top in Malaysia all the time?
Cambridge always changes the syllabus. I don't recall any teacher complaining about the syllabus or even cursing the top officials of Cambridge University.
Back in 2015, during lunch time, I greeted the Cambridge officials when Ms Praveen took them on a school tour. She was showing them the strong room and I saw them in the foyer.

Cambridge is a reputable institution with outstanding guidelines. There is no guideline for the sports day and the power to dictate comes from Chan. Plus, he has a grudge towards BE. He has misused his power and should be sacked.

Last time, when I took the Art and Design IGCSE, we only had to do four art pieces in Paper 1 and 2 each, namely Prep 1, Prep 2, Prep 3 and Prep 4, plust the final piece. I have never seen Ms Feeda nor Ms Nadia or Ms Choo criticize the Cambridge professors for changing the Art and Design IGCSE syllabus. The new syllabus requires students to do eight art pieces for Paper 1 and it tires the students.

But knowledge is power. That is the set standard by Cambridge; to adjust the grade boundaries. And there is a guideline to adjust it as they please.

Even if Mr Chan adjusts the guidelines, it is our responsibility to embrace and adapt to change. The school had embraced the challenge of inadequate online learning during MCO. It was challenging but the school embraced it.
